Thanks! The series is in my to-read-list already, primarily for Berlin for starters :)
The first books set during the demise of the Weimar Republic are very good. The series fades as the war progresses. The post war books are a disappointment.
The series was also heavily featured or better referred to in the Guide for the Literary Traveller Berlin, which I recommended to you earlier.
It's very high on my to read-list, but I can't judge yet.
Mr Kerr unfortunately seems to have passed aways just days ago.
In Germany a similiar series in regards to time and setting by Volker Kutscher is the hype right now, since there's a TV series called Babylon Berlin based on them. I don't know whether it's translated into English already though.
