Alright, here me out on this one: illustration-wise, it's probably right up the birthday girl's alley. It's got some nice themes of friendship and acceptance, BUT there is a but. It *could* be interpretated as a metaphor for a trans person's experience with gender dysphoria and euphoria, so I would recommend being careful with this one and only choosing it if you know that the parents are okay with queer representation. Otherwise it could backfire on you as a present. With that said: a cute and fun friendship story
