Yeah, it was same for me - had no idea where to start, but I wanted to get into X-men. I just found out about the New X-Men story line days ago and started reading today. It is easy point to jump in.

I just find it hard with such a long running series where to begin. I found Batman a lot easier as I started with the iconic and went from there.
