I loved Poison Study and Scent of Magic, sadly I have a hard time liking Snyder as an author now that I've read all the follow-ups. Fire Study was especially tedius.
I thought the Study books past the first weren't as good. Maybe partly because she didn't envision it as a series to begin with? Really, Poison Study is complete in and of itself.
I'm loving Touch of Power & Scent of Magic, though, and am anxious for the next book.
Have you read the Glass series? I haven't yet.

Glass is...interesting. I thought the first was solid, Opal is very different from Yelena and Avry and, unlike many reviewers, I thought that was actually a good thing.
However when I started Sea Glass (the second one) I had to start dog-earing pages where stupid things happened, a lot of bad writing turns up with Snyder guiding her characters through the plot by the earlobe. The third isn't bad, and the series over all is worth a read, but there is one profoundly stupid thing, it's a long-term aspect of the story and it just turns out quite...stupid.
It's sad that I don't have a better word for it lol.
