I would recommend the Fever Series if you haven't read it by Karen Marie Moning. Looooove them!!!

Seriously they are awesome! They are supernatural....more fairy than vampire but so amazing!
I second the fever series. I couldn't put them down - but be prepared to read them all in a row because she leaves some pretty big cliffhangers at the end of each of the books.
Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series is wonderful, too.
