Note that very, very few science fiction books literally feature intergalactic war (i.e. war between two or more galaxies) - the only examples I can think of off the top of my head are Stephen Baxter's Xeelee series and various E.E. "Doc" Smith series. For some reason, people describing sci-fi seem to very frequently misuse the word "intergalactic" when they mean interstellar, interplanetary or even trans-galactic (when a war engulfs the whole of one galaxy, like in Star Wars). I shall assume that you're referring to interplanetary/interstellar war since that cuts out a lot more.

The Dispossessed Ursule Le Guin. Jedan od najboljih romana ikada. Alternativno Govornik za mrtve (nije potrebno čitati Enderovu igru koja ima rat ali je poželjno jer je odlična).
Onda Planetfall - Emma Newman, odlična knjiga o mentalnom poremećaju (ocd, hoarding),
Old Man's War. I just finished and it took me two sittings to gobble it down.
Surely Old Man's War is the opposite of what was requested?

Ha, so not Astral Fall. Although I would hope it's found to be far different than the trad. war-hype books. Hmm--

Have you read 'Bloodchild'?
Have you read 'Annihilation'?

Ne čitam science fiction romane, eventualno spekulativnu fikciju/distopiju... Budući da vidim da se tebi Sluškinjina priča i nije nešto dopala, a mene je raspametila i načisto oduvala, čini mi se da nisam kompetentan za davanje ovakve preporuke. :) Možda Ursula Le Gvin?
