I haven't read the Cut & Run series. I know, I know, I'm missing out. :) Try the Seven of Spades series by Cordelia Kingsbridge.
I have read the first book in the series and now that I come to think of it, I have never marked it in Goodreads. But I remember liking it and I think I'll definitely continue with that. Also, you must read Cut & Run ASAP!! Ty and Zane rocks!

The THIRDS series by Charlie Cochet has a similar vibe, but with shifters.
God! I really need to complete the series I started because I am at the 5th book in the THIRDS series. I was really interested in Dex and Sloane's story but once the stories of side characters started, it got boring..

I only made it as far as 3, so I have no idea if the rest are worth reading.
@Linda Not worth it.. But now that I'm this far I will complete it at some point😊
I think of Mary Calmes' Marshals series as somewhat similar.
I second the Marshals series. Also you might like to try Rhys Ford's Murder and Mayhem. I just finished it and while I feel a bit lukewarm about it, I think you'd like it.
