I'd like to add to Missy's books "Inside Out" and "Touch of Power" by Maria V. Snyder, "Vampire Academy" by Richelle Mead and "Falling Kingdoms" by Morgan Rhodes.
There's the usual suspects like TFiOS, but I see you've already read that one. I'd suggest "Marcelo in the Real World" by Francisco X. Stork, particularly since you've already got "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" on your to-read shelf.
