Brian Liz, If you have some aspiring chefs in the mix, try: Neil Flambé and the Marco Polo Murders (The Neil Flambé Capers #1)
by Kevin Sylvester (Goodreads Author). The protagonist is rather mouthy, but some good food puns and basically a good mystery.
