C’était un film basé sur l’histoire familiale d’un écrivain qui racontait comment un de ses ancêtres avait été capturé en Afrique pour être vendu comme esclave en Amérique. Ce film avait donné envie à beaucoup d’Afro-Américains de connaître l’histoire de leurs ancêtres.”
