Really? :'3
I really liked the writing style. I LOVED the descriptions.
I REALLY got cold while reading it :'D
I saw everything perfectly too.
Oh, I hated Cole. I hated him. But then in the last book, something changed, and, then I was like, "NO! Don't die! D:< " o_o

JazzyCat (dayandnightgirl) My favorite series too, next to Harry Potter! :D so much love and emotion, I loved the way it was written, especially the first one. ♥ Shiver is one of my three favorite books. :3

Maggie Steifvater. I've been able to memorize it.

Chandana (jadedpoet) | 24 comments I read the first book, Shiver. I picked up Linger, but it got to confusing with all the different POVs so I stopped reading. I might pick it up again.

You should! It's my least favorite, but very good. If you read it, then you have to read the last. You can stop with Shiver and be happy, but Linger has an open ending. It's worth it, I promise. :)

I really liked Shiver too. Maggie Steifvater. Yeah. That last name is a killer to remember. But, hey, the different POV's is one of the things I liked most about it!!! I like reading different POV's!

I REALLY wanted to read Sams POV when Cole wants to guide him into the bathroom o____o but she wrote it mostly in Cole's POV and I was like, "NOOOOOOOO! ;~; I wanted to read how upset Sam was D<"

I tried not to spoil anything xD;

JazzyCat (dayandnightgirl) Yeah I know what you mean, but it does explain in Shiver when grace had to do it.

Oh. You're right. He did freak out a little bit, didn't he?

message 11: by JazzyCat (new)

JazzyCat (dayandnightgirl) Yeah it was bad. reread it I love how she blends the memory with the present.

I'm not much for re-reading, because I got a million other books to read a first time around.
But yeah, I just love her writing style so much.

message 13: by JazzyCat (new)

JazzyCat (dayandnightgirl) If you like her, you should try Laurie Halse Anderson. She's my favorite author. Her book Wintergirls is the most poetic and beautiful book I've ever read. It's about eating disorders, but the way it's written is so gorgeous. My three favorite books are Shiver, Bel Canto by Ann Patchett, and Wintergirls. :)

message 14: by JazzyCat (new)

JazzyCat (dayandnightgirl) And also about Wintergirls, it's not in poem form like Crank you know? It's written like a book, but the descriptions and wording and stuff is lyrical. ♥

Hm. I'm not doubting you, or the book, but I'm not really into those kinds of books---eating disorders and such.

I read dragons, vampires, werewolves and other supernatural creatures. I picked Shiver up because I thought it might be a werewolf book. I was wrong. Its a shifter book. Still, it was breathtakingly amazing.

message 16: by JazzyCat (new)

JazzyCat (dayandnightgirl) Understandable. :) To each his own, right?

I wanted them to either both be wolves, or both be humans together.

message 20: by Dhriti (new)

Dhriti (dramaqueen101percyismine) ugh ugh ugh. the 1st book was awesome. the 2nd book was ok. the 3rd book was the suck-iest book ever.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

I loved the whole series. It's hard to decide which was the worst. It's so romantic but has all that action and fictions stuff that's cool.

message 22: by Chandana (new)

Chandana (jadedpoet) | 24 comments I read the first book....and then I stopped. Is Linger worth reading?

message 23: by Mermaid (new)
