(( Forgive me if making a separate topic for this is not allowed, as I see other people making their own topics, but I feel that the current "Riddles" topic is a bit overcroweded, nor do I know if it belongs to someone else, so I made my own. ))

These are some riddles I managed to dig up, as my network drive is also down... Some of them still need work, others are quite well done. And all of these are MY OWN, meaning you can't look them up. Good luck!


1. Whether I grow or shrink, I will always exist. I can decide the outcome of conflicts. I can exist in objects, but am recorded on paper. I have stood for many things and many things have stood for me. Without me, there would be no recorded history. Yet my greatest form has still eluded all. What am I?

2. I am the unique of my kind. I do not follow the same rules as my kin. Though I stand alone, I am represented as many. However, if you try to tear me apart, you will suffer your own demise.

3. I cannot be seen, but my work can be seen. To those around me, I bring sorrow, but those I work with, I bring peace. I am resembled as both a figure of darkness and light. I am eternal and all will eventually do business with me.

4. I provide light for some and direction for others. My brethren and I have been given many names and resemble many things. I teach about both science and mythology. And everyone at some point looks up to me.

5. I am precious to many and poison to some. I allure people with my beauty, only to have them kill each other for me. My reputation is both great in prize and hate. I am the starter of wars and the ender of wars. I am the only thing to hold true value. None other compare to me, for I am perfect in every way.

6. I am the mother of the world and the brother of earth. I am the home to many and make my home in many things. I am both the source of life and death. I am found in many forms and am found in many places. I can be used to both stop and create destruction. What am I?

7. I am free, but still a servant. I am not perfect, but strive to be. I am dominate to all and dominated by few. I am both a peacemaker and a warmonger. My faults are many, my flaws more, still. I both give and take, provide and consume. I provide life, but can take it, as well. I will forever be an imperfection, but my ways will ever be perfect in my mind, for I am the image of perfection. What am I?

8. I am carved, I am smashed, I am thrown, I am rolled, I am skipped, and I am sunk. I can be used to build and destroy. I make works of both art and weaponry. I am both the foundation and destruction of many things. I am original, I am natural, and I have many forms, shapes, and types. What am I?

9. I create joy for many, tranquility for others, and sorrow for some. I can stir emotions and memories. I am expressed in many ways and am unique in every way I am expressed. I can make people to move, even if they don't want to. I am found everywhere and am made, even when my creators don’t know it.
