Books Without Borders discussion

My name is Claire and I love to read. I also enjoy discussions of what I have read. I am in 2 F2F reading groups sponsored by the local library as well as other online groups. I like being led to books I'd not otherwise have found, and I like good discussion (often possible even with a book I didn't like).

I read in spurts because I also like to knit and quilt.

I live in Portland OR since I retired...and yes,that does give me a bit more time to read.

How do you keep up with all the assigned reading for all those groups? That's one reason i limit my groups. i want some time to read for fun as well as to read my assigned books.

Living alone and not having a TV adds a lot of reading time. I am pretty faithful to read the books for the library groups, but occasionally skip one. The three online groups seem like joining in the group reads is pretty optional, so I guess I reserve that option. Being new to this one, I'll wait and see. I do still read books that are not part of any group. And yes, I do have a life in addition to books. :-)

Hi Claire!! Welcome to the group! I am a book groupaholic like you it seems. LOL! I have one local book group and now this one but for a while I had a number of them going. I miss knitting. I taught myself to knit a few years ago but now that I live in TX and am moving to FL I have no reason to knit anymore. LOL!

Anywho. I hope you enjoy your time here in our little book group!
