Hey guys! I have another for you. I think I wrote it at about the end of May-Beginning of June. It's called I Give You My All, and I hope everyone enjoys it. [V1] Maybe if I scream,
Someone will praise your name.
And I know if I whisper,
things will never change.
So here I am, wanting nothin more than you.
Nothing more than you.
[C] I give you my heart,
I give you my soul,
I give you my everything.
To have and to hold.
And this life, it hurts.
But here, I don't belong! No.
I give you my heart,
I give you my all.
[V2] You take away my pain,
and reward me with your love.
You throw away my shame.
And give me just enough
of your power so I can make it through.
I'll make it through for you!
[B] All I want is to thank you for everything you've done.
Your heart stopped so mine could beat,
And it's war is already won!
By your blood I am healed, so much better than I was.
You've given me this voice to sing, and I'm not gunna stop!
[Repeat C]
This one is more of a deep gospel song, that I invisioned being sang during an alter service, or revival. I don't have music for any of these songs, because I'm not that advanced in my guitar playing yet, but anyway, this one is called 'Stand And Sing'.To bring you glory, is my only disire.
To bring others to you, my Heavenly Father.
Although I trip and stumble, I'll still reach for your hand.
And words were never meant for me. So, on the stage I'll take a stand.
And sing! [Love, power and praise to you.
Hope, faith and honor too.
Lord we remember what it took to make us free.
So all of our rejoicing, is praise to thee....]
Deep seas will roll away with your command.
If your will be, trees can't even stand still.
Still I back up, afraid to let you through.
But you surround me, and pull me back to you, and I'll sing.
(chorus)
If I sing this loud enough, can I get someone to stand up?
Raise your hands and sing along.
Giving God glory through this song!
(chorus)
Far from perfect.
Not even worth it.
But still you want my heart.
Deeply entangled, in things that make me so weak.
But still I can hear you speak,
"I love you!"
(Chorus)
So here I am, Come to you.
Grateful for the things you do.
Take my soul, make yours and bright.
And this one is a huge deal for me. Haha. One night while lying in bed, and praying before I went to sleep, I was talking to God about my 'Safe Place', and what that is is a little field in the middle of the woods that I imagine the Lord and myself to be there all the time together. No one else can hear or see us, so nothing can bother us, and we're completely secluded so I can focus only on Him. And I was praying and thinking in my mind that I was there, and His voice just lightly called to me; "Pick up your iPad, open the notes folder, and write for me. Write about our Safe Place."So that's just what I did, and I ended up with this song, and I sing it with a very old timey-bluegrass-hym kind of feel, and it's very upbeat. So here it is: 'Safe Place'.
A feild full of flowers, is where I like to lay.
And talk to my Savior all night, and all day.
He comes and lays beside me.
And I know that I'm safe.
He keeps me from the dangers,
outside our Safe Place.
A creek bed down yonder is where I like to be.
To marvel at God's wonders, and sing to the trees.
Jesus takes my hand and I see his beautiful face!
He keeps me from the dangers,
outside our Safe Place.
[Oh, Jesus. Jesus take me there,
to the place where I belong.
Jesus! Jesus hold my hand,
till you let me come back home.]
A prayer is what I have deep in my heart,
for Jesus to walk with me and never depart.
He takes me to that place, where it's just me and him.
And I know that my soul, will stay in that land.
[C]
Far beyond the human eyes can see.
A place lies there, just for Jesus and me.
The toils and snares, could never reach.
And one day, I will walk on Heaven's beach!
[Repeat Chorus x2]
[Heaven, that's where I wanna go.Heaven, That's what I call Home.
Heaven, it waits for me.
Heaven, it's where I wanna be.]
Well, the Lord can take me Home.
Today or tomorrow.
just as long, as I reach Heaven.
Oh, the Lord, he knows my heart.
He has from the start,
and we both know I don't deserve Heaven
But-[C]
As the Lord walks me Home,
we talk about the future,
my fears vanish, when I think about Heaven.
Because streets lined with gold,
And God on his Throne
is on my bucket list, of things to see!
[C]
Oh Jesus gave his life.
He became the sacrifice.
So you and I could dream about this place.
God loved us so much he gave his son,
the battle for our hearts is already won,
so pray, and seek His beautiful face!
And come to-[C]
This one is called 'Turn Back'.My ears hear everything else but You.
My voice calls, but still you don't shine through.
My feet walk down an unnatural, dirty path.
My hands reach for things You don't want me to grab.
My eyes see all the people lined up in front of me.
They call and they tell me what I need to be.
My Spirit isn't as high as I used to know.
My faith falters inside, and I'm left with no where to go.
Chorus:
Oh, I'm shutting out the noise.
Oh, I can hear your voice.
Turn back.
Turn back!
Oh, the world's become my friend.
Oh, It'll bring me nothing in the end.
So turn back.
Turn back. x1.
Pray and pray I might, it doesn't seem to work.
The voices inside my head block out yours.
No matter how many times I try to cut them off.
They come back, taunting me.
God, I've had enough!
And then right about here, where the bridge migbt be, I just imagine a small instrumental period, letting some light, kinda 'floaty' lyrics come into it, while it works up into it's natural rock feel.
Then the Tag, which is just the alternate chorus in this case:
Oh, I've shut out all the noise.
Oh, I can hear Your voice.
I turned back right into your Arms.
I turned back Right into your arms.
Oh, You've become my friend.
Oh, with you I'll have it all in the end.
Because I turned back right into your Arms.
I turned back right into your arms.
(verse 1)Shaken down. Dragged out. Waiting for more trouble to come,
Well that's no doubt. When all I need, is a big deep breath.
I Push you as far away from me as you could get.
(chorus)
It’s like I’m waiting for sunshine, but I won’t open the curtain.
It’s like I want peace, but I let my mouth run, more than I should.
And, God I want to be in your arms. So lead me out of the dark.
(verse 2)
Why do I put things off? I wanted to know more of you, but I got
Caught up. In this world, and who I am pretending to be. Jesus,
Come back to me and help me see.
(repeat chorus!)
(bridge)
Kneeling here on my knees. So close to you.
The best thing to happen to me.
Jesus… I see you. Jesus I see you.
(2 chorus) I want sunshine, you help me open the curtain. I want peace so
You help me shut up when I should! And, God I want to know You more.
God, now I know I’m in your arms. Im not in the dark. x1
Jesus, I see you.
Oh, yes. Jesus, I see you.

So, I started writing about when I was nine, but it's gotten a little better since then, and I'm not going to share the ones from back then. ;) Even if I could find them!
I hope everyone enjoys these, and I have quite a few! Also, please tell me what y'all think! I'd love some feedback.
Thanks!
Number one!
This one is called 'Lighthouse', and the inspiration for the title and theme came from something I thought of: We as Christians, or any other religion, usually have a job to share our 'testimony' or story, and try to get other people on our side. So, we are lighthouses, the world is the sea, and we're suppose to bring the lost ships safe to shore. Here it is!
Deep in the sea of the world.
There's thoughts in my head that won't ever be heard.
But God, you hear me crystal clear.
Deep in the waves pullin' me.
I tryin' so hard, but I'm swept off my feet.
Prayin 'God, can you hear me, now?'
[And though the current pulls me away,
You take my hand and help me stay.
We walk on the shore of your heavenly love,
and the clouds of my worries aren't up above.
As my savoir takes my hand,
I close my eyes, thinkin' how lucky I am.
And your light shines through.
I'm a lighthouse for you.]
Cliffs and rocks line up before me,
But you make them cry out your name.
And all that I am, is not perfect,
but you love me anyway.
(Chorus)
All that you are is bright,
Like the sunshine on the ocean.
All that you do is right,
like the waves.
All that I see is blue,
Tranquility in you!
All I wanna be,
is a lighthouse shining true!
(Chorus)
