Kevin (atomskhowl) I really enjoyed this book, it happens to fall under my favorite genre fantasy. It has just about everything you need in a fantasy book. Action, adventure, romance, twist & turns, and of course Dragons.

I loved the characters especially the main character and her garden of grotesques. Another favorite character of mine is Uncle Orma.

My favorite part of the book would have to be the ball when Seraphina her Grotesques were looking out for danger. There were a lot of developments that took place before, during, and after the dance between her and Kiggs.

Since it it the first book There isn't anything I would change.

Yes, my favorite genre is fantasy. So this book fit right in. I so am glad that Seraphina was this months book.

I really enjoyed Seraphina. I agree with Kevin, the book had a little bit of everything. It did have a surprisingly slow paced plot, but still managed to hold my attention from start to finish.

I liked the characters especially Seraphina, Orma, and Glisselda. Even the characters like Ardmagar Comonot, who was difficult to like, were still interesting.

I think my favorite part was when Seraphina met her grandfather for the first time. The whole scene showed Serephina's bravery and intelligence wonderfully.

There is a few things I would change. (view spoiler)

Fantasy is my favorite genre. I have read some really great books in the genre lately like The Name of the Wind, Warbreaker, and The Way of Kings so had been fearful Seraphina would suffer under their long shadow. Happily this was not the case.
