You think there's a chance that by the time I wanna buy them they cost as little as the first one?? xD
HATE SO FREAKING BAD! This book is unbelievable. And the fame it's getting..I don't really get it. Christian is NUTS. And not nuts as in, "hey, how cute, he's nuts. let's have sex with him."
Nuts as in HE REALLY SHOULD BE LOCKED UP FOR HIS OWN GOOD. I am sincerely convinced that he'd be better off in a mental facility or something.
I can't conceive how would anyone picture a person such as him as a "hot" male character. He's just not.
Well he should be nuts considering what he's been through. Ana is a lot stronger than him and even though he likes these things he actually have "Vanilla" sex with her for her sake. Something he barely knows about even.
I'm not saying he shouldn't be nuts, I think that is in fact totally understandable. What I do think is that he shouldn't be portrayed as the perfect hero women should dream about, but as a young man in need of serious help.
Granted, he gets a little bit "less crazy" going on with the trilogy, but I still think he should be in special treatment instead of out screwing weird women in weird ways.
I don't think he's protrayed as a hero. That's not at all what the author was going for. To me, Ana was more the hero saving him.
and also everyone is entitled to like what they like in the bedroom that doesn't make it weird. Not to them.

All I'm saying is that I've seen a lot of teenage girls rambling on and on about how they want to be Mrs. Christian Grey and how awesome it would be to be with someone like him. Whether that was E.L. James' intention or not (which I think on some part is), that's what happened: Christian Grey became someone to be desired, not to be understood. And that is not okay, at least not to me. Now there are a bunch of teenagers convinced being like that is cool. Which is not.I'm not saying he's nuts because of what he does in his bedroom solely, of course. As Stephanie said, he's fragile, and I do think he needs medical treatment instead of vanilla sex, if you get what I mean. I am sure that man is a good person, and had he not come off as a "hottie", which is what I heard from most people who read the book, I think I would've liked Fifty Shades better. I'm just sad its fame came this way.

Plus, as an unattached note not at all related to my critic: I didn't even find the sex scenes that hot. I've read better books about that, too.
Yes, I've heard people comparing it to Twilight. I've also heard that tris trilogy is based on a fanfiction based on Twilight? But I'm not sure of that, I never really looked into it
So they say xD something about the words being the same and what not, but unless Edward suddenly turned into I don't know, a not 109 year old virgin than yeah xD and his red room of pain is where again xD
If she wrote that fanfiction she could still have done that and wrote this one, but you can never be sure about these things :P

I second this!
I finished the other two books and I gotta say that there's a lot more to Christian than in the first book. In the second book he doesn't even want to hit her anymore or barely go in the playroom. they have a actual relationship and by the third book we know everything he has been through. And I gotta say.. poor guy.

I loved these books! And yes you NEED to finish this series to understand the story fully. It gets MUCH better!
IKR!!! I read all three and I still don't understand how people say it sucked, they probably only read the first one.

thank you thank you thanky you, I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE OUT THERE WHO HATED THE BOOKS AND CHRISTIAN OMG, PEOPLE JUST CAN'T SEE HOW CRAZY - IN - A- BAD - WAY HE IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks, bye.
You know when you read too much when you're reading a passage in a book and you think the main character should say something and five lines down the main character says what you thought they should say, something and five lines down the main character says what you thought they should say, this has happened through every chapter of 50 Shades. In the last chapter of 50 shades when Anastasia says that infamous line "you'll have to catch me first" I was seriously reeling on my bed I could not stop laughing. I couldn't stop reading I've thrown it down several times and sheer disgust and ran into the other room but not five minutes later I peek into my bedroom look at my iPad and tiptoe over to the bed and start reading it allover again.I don't have a problem with Anastasia Steele, I think that she is a better Bella Swan just the simple fact that she is able to express herself by email or when she's drunk to Grey. Is more than Bella could do, she's both witty and smart and brave and stupid for ever wanting to be in a relationship with Grey, Grey is everything a girl wants in a guy, he's handsome, rich, smart and ambitious. But his attributes aren't enough, compared to his shortcomings.
Even though for the most part reading this book has been painful just because of the writing alone I will read the second book not for the writing or the "riding" (Pune intended) LOL. But for the development of the characters, because this book started out as a fanfiction I'm curious to see where the author is going to take it. As long as Grey doesn't burst out with fangs I'll be fine.
Anybody who's anybody the read this book cannot sit on the computer, or read a review and say that they did not find sex scenes hot because I and I don't care they were deliciously hot kind of shocking and it throws you for a loop. Even so I'm not sure if I'm on the Christian Grey wagon just yet I'll have to read the second trilogy find out;)
The next books will be a lot "deeper" than the first one because you find out more about Grey's past and what he's been through to turn him into this guy.
