GIVEAWAYTHREE friends, TWO secrets, ONE lie, and the summer that changed their lives.
RATED 5-Stars by 30 reviewers on Amazon
Reviewers are saying..."Unique", "Put this at the top of your list", "A Must Read", "Captivating", "The characters come alive"
Take a journey back to the days of your youth through the eyes of the teenagers in Atomic Summer, and remember all the friends that have shaped who you are today.
In 1953, three teenage girls’ innocent conversations about what each of them would do if the end of the world were imminent, coupled with a friend’s obsession, become the catalyst for a prank that spins wildly beyond control and draws in an entire town. Left behind in the wake of that summer’s events are their unrealized dreams and open wounds. In 1973, a reunion trip to the small town of their youths returns them to the summer of 1953 and the passion and betrayal that changed their lives.
Elaine D. Walsh, winner of the Chairman's award for excellence, captures the anxiety of the times and draws the reader in with rich characters that linger long after the story ends.

I'm giving away my book,
The Valentine's Day Clue, on goodreads from 1st Feb to 28th Feb, 2013. This is the first book in a teen detective thriller series.Look at what a few readers have to say about it:
"The author has created few characters that are so true to life. The protagonists – the brothers are young and lively. Their aspirations and enthusiasm reminded me of myself at that age (it wasn’t too long ago) very much and that’s what is the USP of this book. Whenever we read a mystery, the protagonist always seems so larger than life either with their detection skills or with their action scenes. I mean if we really had a Poirot, a Sherlock Holmes or a Jack Reacher, then there would be fewer criminals roaming around free. Nayak brothers are not larger than life – in fact they are just amateurs often stumbling on their way. It is their optimistic and ‘never give up’ attitude that makes them so likeable. They grow through their experiences. The plot, in general, is a simple one for hardcore mystery lovers like me, but it was one that an amateur pair could handle." -- Debdatta Dasgupta Sahay
"It takes you to your college days when you dream to pursue your passion as a profession. Here, it’s a story of two young brothers and budding detectives who go through a series of dangerous yet thrilling events while working on their first case ever." -- Sandeep Undale

Anatomy of a Poet
***The Giveaway is Over Now***
About the Book:
"There is a brokenness out of which comes the unbroken; a shatteredness out of which blooms the unshatterable; a sorrow beyond all grief which leads to joy, and a fragility out of whose depths emerges strength. There is a hollow space too vast for words through which we pass with each loss, out of whose darkness we are sanctioned into being." ~Bri Maya Tiwari
That quote astutely describes not only my life, but the poetry in Anatomy of a Poet.
One of six children, I grew up in a small Ohio town and married my high school sweetheart at nineteen. A Vietnam War widow at twenty, I went on too soon to marry and then divorce twice.
I made a lot of choices, some good, some not so good, but as one of the poems in the book ends, "...at least I made choices. How sad for those who merely hitchhike along, never daring to choose at all."
Anatomy of a Poet was written over a period of nearly forty years. The poetry is rich with memoir, humor and, at times, it is sensual in nature.

Hi Janice, it would appear, to me, that people are "self-posting" their own releases! Cheers, Sara

***GIVEAWAY***Five more days to get a FREE paperback copy of Her Grace in Disgrace, a Regency romance. Ten copies! End date August 12th.
Here's a blurb or check out my Good Reads page for info.
Reginald Aiken, Duke of Warwick is dead and his young widow is not grieving…until the will is read.
Isobel Kennilworth Aiken, Duchess of Warwick spent 6 years of her young life in a loveless marriage. Now, at the age of 24, Isobel is a widow. As Isobel awaits the reading of her late husband’s last will and testament, she feels no grief, but in fact is quite hopeful. She is eager to start her life anew. But, as the droning of the solicitor’s voice washes over her detailing the bequests to various servants and family members, a shock awaits her. The "other woman" was not his mistress, but his lawfully wedded wife and together they had a son. Six year old Reggie is now the Duke of Warwick, displacing Reginald’s brother Charles.
There is a collective gasp as the revelation is made that instantly cuts off Isobel and Charles and dashes their hopes for the future. Isobel must indeed start again, not as a titled, influential and wealthy widow, but as plain Miss Kennilworth, tainted by scandal, something to be avoided at all costs in Regency England. Can she get past the disgrace and humiliation she has endured and fight her way back into society? Will she find love again with her childhood sweetheart, Andrew Stafford, former vicar, now Lord Saybrooke? Or perhaps she will rekindle the romance with Jeremy Ingles, Lord Westcott, who had caught her fancy at her come out six years earlier, but had not been ready to be leg shackled.
But before Isobel can find true love, she must come to grips with her past mistakes and the people she has hurt along the way. She must discover who she is without the title of duchess to her name.
THANKS and Good Luck
Claudia Harbaugh

I have been a member of Goodreads and this group for about 9 months, but I recently released a novel. I just posted a Giveaway for it. My question is, do authors invite the members of the groups they belong to to participate in the Giveaway? I don't want to commit any breach of protocol.
Thanks for any help.
