Collapse of the old world:
Here are my ideas. Features a guy (Clark?) trying to save a girl in the apocolypse. He gets separated from her, and he's always trying to find her, but he is also snared into helping other innocent people along the way. So deep.
The apocolypse has every country warring- nuclear, killing, plagues, death, destruction, and other fun things.
At the end (view spoiler)[they both die. (view spoiler)[ But for romance's sake, they die in each others arms. Big bomb explodes on them or whatever (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]
And political commentary wise, we can have a evil president type character who's evil because he lets people be totally free and it backfires. How's that for irony?
It's not really a comedy but it has it's moments.
What are your ideas?
