Wow LK! You really are booking! How can you listen so quickly? Or are you listening all day while you do other things? I have done that, and it helps me get through more books.
Yes, Lara, I walk around with ear buds in my head doing chores. Cleaned the gutters with them on today, which was probably NOT a good idea! (Up on a ladder.) LOL! BoJ I sped up to 1.25 times (which I often do) & 1.5 times (which I've never done) b/c I'm on one of the final teams for Book Shelf Bingo. Wouldn't recommend that either, as I'm re-listening to parts now.

I sped up a book once, because I couldn't stand it but wanted to find out the ending. Frustrating.
BTW, the book I finished first for this challenge, Monster Hunter Legion, is the 4th book in a series. I've listened to the previous three and read the ebook for this one. I think I'll re-'read' it by getting the audiobook. The narrator really brings the story to life.
Loose first list - will tweak to be more PBR/UF as the month goes on, I hope, although I have so much SFF course work I may have to be slightly off...Progress: 4/8

I'm doing the Audio Challenge in RRRC - actually doing another round, since I enjoyed the first so much. This time I'm doing "all dudes." I checked out Oliver Wyman's narration for the first in that series, Monster Hunter International, at audible.come and he does sound good. Thanks!
Lisa Kay, the Monster Hunter series is definitely from a man's perspective. And a guy's perspective. He is definitely competitive, not mushy, and full of testosterone. But, he also falls hard for one of the women he meets. Fortunately for us, she is not readily available, and he has to work for her respect and affection. The third book is about one of the main characters of the first two and the lead of books 1 & 2 is not involved. Book four brings all the characters together at points.

I had a list of books that were released on the 4th of this month, and they all fit within a category. That is why I've been reading them so quickly. They are all from authors I really like and are books I've been waiting for. I'm just happy to have the excuse to get through them all right away.
Thanks Leigh and Sandra!Leigh--no worries. This month was easier for me because I blocked out my other responsibilities over the Labor Day weekend and got a great start. Plus, some of my favorite authors had books released and I couldn't wait to read them. Now I'll have to wait for the next ones to come out though...
