how do you deal w/cover blurbs? do you recommend books to patrons because of them? what if there is an obvious conflict of interest?
the book my church is using for book club this month is "on the verge" by hirsch and ferguson. the authors hold up a dozen churches as examples of doing church correctly (my word, not their's), before the title page there are blurbs from pastors at five of those churches telling how wonderful the book is.

would you recommend it?
thanks.
