Introduce yourself here... if you have a favorite indie book or if you are an author of an indie book post it here!

Hi Daren,

Thanks again for the review. I truly appreciate it!

Do you have any children's books or any other independent books that you would recommend to me or anyone else in this group?

Emme (emmepangala) Greetings, all! I'm Emme and I'm a fledgling freelance book editor. I thought I would (finally!) put my English degree to work for me by venturing out into the publishing world. In addition to undergraduate studies in literary criticism, folklore and popular culture, I am a skilled researcher, with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. For fun, I write book reviews. :-)

I love working with indie writers. I get a thrill from watching writers grow in their craft and making it in the publishing world. To that end, I am offering introductory pricing on editorial services.

Want more info? Just shoot me an email here on Goodreads and I will get back to you, shortly. Or, find the link to my editing website in my GR profile.

Much love to the indies!

Hi everyone!

I'm new to goodreads, but loving it so far. I thought I've read a lot, but most of you have put me to shame.

I'm also an aspiring indie author, with Part 1 of my debut novel out now, on amazon: http://amzn.to/15yhiGl

I love Science Fiction, Fantasy, Thriller, and Dark Fiction. I also write in all those genres (or at least try too).

Looking forward to talking to everyone!

Hi everyone! I'm Christy, new to indie publishing but a writing relic. Good to find this group! I have two self-published titles out, most recently "The World Was My Oyster But I Didn't Know How to Cook." (www.theworldwasmyoyster.com) It's a collection of essays, short stories, and well-known writer interviews. E-book only right now, paperback on the way. Indie publishing is exciting but exhausting! Can't wait to read some of the books listed above.

Hello all,
I'm an author who's written for television shows here in Canada and done some fiction. Right now I'm checking out epublishing, and have put my book up on ibooks for FREE for a limited time:
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/book/diar...
I would appreciate any feedback or comments, and would be happy to answer any question about my experiences as a writer.

message 21: by J.W. (new)

J.W. Kent (jwkent) | 1 comments Hello all! I am J.W. Kent, author of “The Bridge at Ardendale” and “The Wind from the Islands”
This site comes highly recommended by a friend of mine (also an author). He has also been pushing me to open up a facebook page, but I pretty much refuse to jump in that quagmire! Anyway, I am not worth a hoot at marketing… ( I doubt I could market draft beer to a bunch of red-necks stranded in the Mojave… ) but I enjoy conversing with folks, and hope that perhaps I can get a little exposure here.
My books are epic fantasy, but with no grand “save the world or everybody is going to die” plot. I also only include magic in a very limited fashion, and do not use any of the “classic races” such as elves, dwarves, trolls… etc. (I figured that any more or less non-human types should be a bit more imaginative) Since my books are intended primarily to be fun, I did however, include my twisted sense of humor…
I very much look forward to interacting with you all!

Anne Nydam | 1 comments Hello!
I've written a stack of books, mostly for children (though some are popular with adults), mostly fantasy (though some are more realistic and one is even non-fiction), and all celebrating curiosity, creativity, wonder, and decent characters who try to do the right thing.
Like some of the rest of you, I stink at marketing and self-promotion!
My web site is here: http://nydamprints.com
and my blog here: http://nydamprintsblackandwhite.blogs...
I love to talk about this stuff, so feel free to comment or ask any questions!
