I thought it was her father too, and I didnt even think of him being a god! that could be why its called Deity...good thinking guys!

I was thinking not only is he the Half servant at the New York facility with the "warm brown eyes", but that maybe he would have been an Apollyon too if they hadn't forced him into servitude... and maybe his eyes are clear(er) than other servants because they can't dominate the Apollyon like they expected to.

When Alex and Seth were eavesdropping on Uncle Marcus and Minister Telly they said something about having another already. I figured that was the brown-eyed Half servant she keeps seeing.

The only problem I see with my theory is: you'd think Laadan would have noticed Alex's father and mentioned something to Alex about it, since she knows Alex is interested, and has no other real family.

This could also explain why she's "more pure than half".

I also had that theory reading this book. And I do strongly think that that is the case. Or maybe he's related to her father? I dont know. I cannot wait for the next book!
