As far as I know, this is the author's first novel. I have no idea if she's planning on a sequel or not. I didn't feel like the book NEEDED a sequel, but I would read it as soon as it came out if there was one!

This is absouly my favorite book i hope there is another one i want to know what happens next do they end up together and what happens to her so called "husband" next cause he isnt going to let her get away.
I hope there is a sequel, I mean it was such a unique spin on a story which has been done so often ah it was brilliant, and I would love to find out how the issue with gisbourne is resolved
I love this book. I read it at least once a month if not more. I love Scarlet, and there better be a sequel. I will be soo angry if there isn't. She and Robin need to be together and Sir Guy of Gisbourne(?) needs to die(for good!!!).

I was browsing the author's website, and her exact words were:"I can't say for sure if I'll NEVER write another Scarlet story. I love her voice, her friends and her world, so I imagine there's some room for inspiration there!"
There's some hope to hold on to for a sequel.. I'm hoping for more of this fabulous spin on Robin Hood myself..

ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know about a sequel, I don't think much else can happen, everybody knows who she is so... but she should definitely write another book. Maybe she could use a different fairy tale?
Emma wrote: "The way the book ended it could have had a sequel but it didn't need one to make sense."Yea. There doesn't need 2 b a sequel but a sequel would b nice. :)
Maybe the author meant to leave so much out in the open. It gives more to think about and it will make you remember the book. I would enjoy a sequel though. :)
*Will SCARLET have a sequel, or is it a standalone?
"Scarlet was written as a standalone--it's very open ended because though her story ended, the situation in Nottingham certainly didn't. It's also been her challenge all along--to fight against pain and injustice while knowing that these things don't ever really end. They get harder, get easier, and come around again but they never end.
That being said, I always wanted to write more of Scarlet's story. And now I'm going to! SCARLET will have two sequels, and the first one is coming out in Winter 2014. YAY!!"
I found this on the author's website in the FAQ section. Here: http://www.acgaughen.com/faq/ So happy. Love the book!
