Any suggestions or questions?

Psᴇᴜᴅᴏʟᴏɢᴏs [ ɢᴏɴᴇ ] (MuchLikeFalling) Will you be adding locations in which Humans and Vampyres can interact in the same place?

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Yup, working on that right now!

I'm going offline, bye.

Psᴇᴜᴅᴏʟᴏɢᴏs [ ɢᴏɴᴇ ] (MuchLikeFalling) Also, will there be mod auditions?
I would love to contribute more.

Hazel | 59 comments question: are these proper vampires.that will burn up in the sun? And if so, are we assuming all the roleplay is occuring during the night, or are you going to have a way for human players to differentiate when they're interacting at night, and at day.

What are the rules about the vampire and human locations? Can vampires go into human locations and vice versa?

Do we have any statistics? Ie how much damage can we take? How much can we cause? What abilities do vampires/humans have? Are you just going to let people have what they want in the way of skills, or do you have to have it passed to have the ability to, for eg, use a bow and arrow (and to make such), or to be able to sneak, or to fight, or to charm other people? Do vampires have supernatural abilities? how are you going to control what people do and do not have the ability to do?

@Parøxysmal. Yes eventually. When my friend joins she'll be a mod because som of this was her idea as well

@hazel Well it's the end of the world basically, so I'm having it with basically no sunlight. Operating by moonlight I guess you could say. You can only die if you give the other person permission to kill you. Vampires are fast, can fly, and of course need blood. Humans can be skilled in whatever combat weapon they want, but neuclear weapons and guns are gone. It's easier that way. Did that answer your questions?

Hazel | 59 comments some. what about non fatal damage? How much can we take, how do we keep track of it? If someone has a skill in something, how do you keep track of just how skilled in something they are? Theres a difference between being able to stick someone with the pointy end, and be able to disarm an opponent with a riposte. What about defence, the ability to dodge, how do you decide if someone gets hurt, or manages to dodge out of the way?Social skills, how do you represent that someone is better at charming, intimidating or generally influencing another person than their ability to portray it may be. IE, if someone isn't very good at being intimidating, but wants their character to be the most intimidating person you'd ever come across, what system is in place to allow them to do that? What about resisting these attempts at social manipulation? How does someone being intimidated know if their character is good at resisting it? How do we deal with these interactions when the person playing a character may want their character to be better than they're able to do out of character? Roleplaying can only take it so far, there has to be a system in place to deal with those times when roleplay isn't enough to settle the matter.

If I chose to charm someone, and they want to avoid being charmed, how do we resolve that? Roleplay means reflecting your characters abilities, not making it up as you go along.

Q:How much can we take, how do we keep track of it?
A: Um, as much as you want I guess. I mean you can't be undefeatable...

Q:If someone has a skill in something, how do you keep track of just how skilled in something they are?
A: Character Creation. In the other topic, you can post what they're good at, and how good they are. Can't power play, but they can still be pretty good.

Q:What about defence, the ability to dodge, how do you decide if someone gets hurt, or manages to dodge out of the way?
A: Well that part's up to you. Is your character clumsy, fast, etc. They have to get hurt as some point, but the powers vampires have play into it a little.

Q:Social skills, how do you represent that someone is better at charming, intimidating or generally influencing another person than their ability to portray it may be. IE, if someone isn't very good at being intimidating, but wants their character to be the most intimidating person you'd ever come across, what system is in place to allow them to do that?
A: Can't help you there. That part is pretty much up to you and the person you're role playing with. I mean if you ask then in parenthesis to try & help you, that mught help you out a lot.

Q: What about resisting these attempts at social manipulation? How does someone being intimidated know if their character is good at resisting it?
A: Again, you decide what your characters do.

Q: How do we deal with these interactions when the person playing a character may want their character to be better than they're able to do out of character? Roleplaying can only take it so far, there has to be a system in place to deal with those times when roleplay isn't enough to settle the matter.
A: You can take it to the mods, and we'll try & sort it out. I'm hoping that you guys can work with each other though, and try to solve your problems...

Q: If I chose to charm someone, and they want to avoid being charmed, how do we resolve that? Roleplay means reflecting your characters abilities, not making it up as you go along.
A: Then you better know how to do your characters abilities. And I beg to differ. Roleplaying is so making things up.
