According to the stats, very few of you have read this, so I won't go too in-depth. No point in discussion questions. I did enjoy this book, though not as much as I was expecting to. It's a strange mix of genres. You've obviously got fantasy, but it was so akin to fairy tales that I almost felt that it was middle-grade. When a couple of swear words broke through, and a few more mature scenes, it started leaning towards YA, though it was an awkward fit. The plot is great, and I really enjoyed the characters as well. The reviews for the entire series are so positive that I can't resist continuing with the series to see how it all unfolds. My only hope is that now that the world building is out of the way, there will be fewer overly-detailed descriptions to distract from my enjoyment of the storyline. *WARNING* Be prepared for the cliche love triangle!
