Read Across Canada: A 2013 Challenge discussion

Do you guys have favorite quotes from books or about books? I like the following quotes:

I think the Stephen King quote about books being the perfect entertainment is my favorite.

I had to think about this one for a while, I've been reading Carlos Ruiz Zafon and all of his books are about books...how does one pick! Then I encountered this from One Story, One Song:
