Every year around Halloween time, I get in the mood for some horror / scary stories. Anyone have a few to suggest? Short story collects are welcome.

While I'm not much of a horror buff, I'm the same way come October. Sleepy Hollow is a classic and can easily be read each year. The Haunting of Hill House (or others by Shirley Jackson). I just added several Halloween themed books to my to-read list tonight, in fact. I'm planning to read some Bradbury this year (Something Wicked this way Comes, The Halloween Tree).

No not really, about the only thing I might possibly get geared up for is a good movie.

For the last week of October, I'm going to watch the TV series "Penny Dreadful"... so far so good with the first 2 episodes..
