Kira4Inu Kira4Inu I've read the entire Warriors series and one and 1/12 of the Seekers series. I'm curiuos to know: what order do these series belong in (from best to worst)?

In my opinion, the Warriors is the absolute best. I love the idea of the Clans, the characters' names, the ceremonies, and just everything about the story.

Next, I would say is the Survivors. They have the beginnings of something similar to the Clans and that is the Packs. I would like to see more development of the Pack and way of Pack life.

The Seekers is absolutely last. I thought the story was okay in book one up until the point where the bear cub that transforms into a human and many other animals appeared. I got a few pages into book two and just couldn't make it any father. The addition of this shapeshifting character (who's name I can not remember) completely ruins the story. It would be a much better series if he was cut out all together.

So, what do you think of these three series by Erin Hunter?

Evly I finished survivors in one day and it is a pretty good book. Kira4Inu, i have read all of the warrior books and all the seekers and i think anyone who liked those two series would like survivors

Mary unfortunately this book wasnt really written by the erins despite their name on the cover. you can check it out on their site.

johanna (jo) Hi Kira,

I think Warriors is the best. You have to keep in mind, though, that although the books are similar in many ways, they are completely different series'. Really, it's unfair to compare them. This is my oppinion, though: I really enjoyed Warriors, especially about a year ago, when I was absolutely obsessed with them. However, after the first series, I thought that the books tended to lose their quality. I wasn't too sure about all the 'powers' and things, and the cats got more and more like humans - massaging a cat who's back was broken (or severely damaged, anyway,)? It seemed a bit unrealistic. By the last book, though I still loved the characters and enjoyed the story, the series had lost my obsession.
I have read Seekers too ... and I don't think it's as good as Warriors. The first three were great - the shape-shifter, Ujurak, turns out to be Ursa Minor, the Little Bear, which does clear it up a bit, though I was never too sure about him myself either - but after that I think Erin Hunter ran out of ideas. It read like they were only writing them because people enjoyed them so much. I mean - when they finally got to the place they'd been seeking, suddenly "Something wasn't right about this place!" and boom! The whole point of the entire story - to find this paradise - was gone, and they were off again, this time with seemingly no point. Surely that place was better than they had been? So yes, I don't think Seekers is as good. Worth reading, yes, but not brilliant. I tended to get a bit bored at some points.
Survivors! Since they've only written one so far, I can't say much, but I did really enjoy it. So far no powers or shape-shifters :). Sounds like it will make a good series, though (as long as they don't rove around with no destination for the whole time, though), and perhaps will turn out more of a success than Seekers.
This is my oppinion. (You asked! xP)

Allykat177 Warriors was the best. Back then, the Erins had a lot of motivation for their books. I was engrossed in the plot and I loved the whole foreign concept of the Clans, as it was an original idea. The names were amazing too, instead of just bring called "Leaf" they had a warrior name, like "Leaftail." Sure, they had many grammatical errors, but at the time I was too young to notice or generally care. Unlike most series' that lasted for 24 books, the plot never seemed to get old, but looking back on it now I see why they wanted to end it, because the Dark Forest was tiring to hear about and write about. I am disappointed that Harper Collins is forcing them to write a fifth series, as if is getting to be too much.
I have not read Seekers, only the part of the first book. It seemed to feed off of the idea of Warriors, and it lacked originality. I inevitably lost interest and stopped reading.
Now don't get me started on Survivors. I absolutely loathe it, and will most definitely NOT read any of the other books. First off, the idea that because the original four Erin Hunters didn't want to write another series similar to Warriors with and Harper Collins hired some new writer to do it made me want to punch a hole in the wall. Harper Collins wanted to make more money, so they hired some wannabe Erin who agreed to write about dogs. The style wouldn't be the same, and if the series turned out to be a total flop, as I was expecting it would be, sond unknowing people would blame the real Erins and it would ruin the reputation they worked hard to gain. Secondly, the book was written in a poor fashion. It was double-spaced with very little description. Unlike Warriors, which seemed to find the perfect balance between too much and not enough of the names for things (such as kittypets, twolegs, and monsters), this book highly overused them. No admirable words were to be found throughout the story. The double spacing screams either childish, lazy, or short. Even with it next to a regular Warrior's book the difference is noticeable, and without it it would have been substantial. All of this seems to be geared toward the fact that it was meant for children around the age of seven who still read books about puppies. The storyline had no plot except for the side plots, and any true Warriors or Seekers fan who didn't know there was a fake Erin would realize it, because the others never mentioned a character's name until it was spoken.
Well, I'm starting to rant. You get the point, I hated The Empty City. I had known all of this information but I reworded it after done people in the main article, so don't flame me for bringing up their points.

Wow. I had no idea about the fake Erin o_o. You're saying this book wasn't written by Erin Hunter?! Who WAS it written by? Andwhy on earth didn't Harper Collins just let them write by their own name? That is mad . Harper Collins (if what you sayis true, and the light you show on them) has eternally lost my respect.

Katlyn Ditto.
