Read a book from each country discussion

I recently read The gangster we are all looking for by Lê Thi Diem Thúy
It was a very lyrically written story from a young girls pov about the family escaping Vietnam and getting to California. They family gets split up and so it goes back and forth between Vietnam and California. It was an okay read but not really what I was looking for.

The Dragon House by John Shors

For non fiction The Girl in the Picture: The Story of Kim Phuc, the Photograph, and the Vietnam War is a really good read.

The Women by Kristin Hannah is a historical fiction featuring the often unacknowledged women who went to the Vietnam War. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review
