I'm not talking about the wives of Henry VIII, but book covers that show a woman's body without a head or only the lower portion of her head is showing.

Rebekah (bekalynn) | 17 comments why has this become so popular recently? I don't remember this as much in precious decades and I don't remember seeing any at all on the books I read in the 20th century.And doesn't seem like finding a book with a headless man is much harder?

It's like the female version of emasculation. Is there a word for that? Same thing as all the recent titles that put women in a secondary role (the Aviator's Wife, So and So's Daughter, etc.). Makes me crazy. And they say there is no war on women (only half kidding)
