♪Team 5: DIVA-LICIOUS FIVE
Hi Juliet I can not wait either. This is my first group challenge. So I am very new at this. But I would love to give it a go.
Hi every one its good to meet you all too. My name is Tam. I am from Australia and am looking forword to playing and as I said before this is my first time.
Nice to meet both of you. So I think we need to decide on the Team's name and also the Captain. Any volunteer and suggestion?
Hey Tam!! Another Aussie :-) I think that makes four of us in the group now. What timezone are you in? You could be well situated to help the team by posting the song on here. Jennifer and Cathy, what time zone are y'all in?
Also, it'd be great to be able to customise your dance card before the game begins, so if you could come up with a name and choose a captain amongst you, that'd be appreciated.
Here are some suggestions to get your creative juices going:
Rhythm and Blues
Five Stayin' Alive
Fantastic Five do the Jive
Five Funkilicious Femmes
Blue Babes
Bookish Blues
lol, that's all I can come up with at the moment, but hope it helps.
Oh, and don't forget, if you need any help or have any questions, feel free to PM me or post in the Rules and Discussion thread. This is the first time this game is played, for everyone!!! (including me, lol!) so we're all in this together :-)Good luck!!
I'm in the Eastern Timezone in the US. I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm not sure about the name, and I probably wouldn't make a good captain since I get busy and forget to check the group for a couple of days sometimes.
Hello I am in Australian Eastern standard time zone in Melbourne Ausralia. I don't mind the name of our group. But what I can think of at the moment is "deevalishess". Sory about the spelling sory some times I can not spell to good.I am not sure what you all think of the group name but thats all I can think of. I I also do not think I will be a group captain either because Iam still new but I would nominate Juliet or Cathy
Nope I'm not cut out for Captain position and I'll pass too.For this week, I will be reading Naked in Death by J.D. Robb
Had been wanting to start this series and no better time than now where my TBR fits the theme of the song playing this week.
Juliet, that is a great choice! It's a great series and you'll fall in love with Roarke ( most of us who have read this series have LOL)
Glad to see so many Death series fans here :)I loved Nora Roberts books and had been hesitating to start the death series as it's a huge commitment.
I think that may have been my problem, Juliet. I took too long between books. But I do enjoy them when I get to them.
Tam, I've not heard of
before, but it looks good! Would be interested to know what you think when you're done. It looks like a chunkster though, 400 pages?

I've been trying to read one a month so that it's not too overwhelming. It seems to be working out pretty good.
I'll be reading Winter Reunionby Roxanne Rustand. Never heard of this author before, so hopefully this will be a good choice.
♥Roarke♥ - so, of course, I love the In Death series. I do like to read them, but Susan Ericksen does such an outstanding job of narrating them. I hope you love the series half as much as I do, Juliet!
I've never read anything by Roxanne Rustand, Jennifer; but, I like a good Love Inspired romance every now and then. That, and she's a bookstore owner: my dream job!
CaroB wrote: "I think that may have been my problem, Juliet. I took too long between books. Yup one per month is definitely a good pace. :)

I think I will loved them. I am already a fan of Catherine Coulter's FBI Thriller series. Have you read them?
Black Swan Rising definitely sounds interesting. I will be checking it out. Can't wait to hear the reviews from Tam.
I guess I can be the team captain. Give me a nudge if I forget to do something or do something wrong. I like Diva-licious (at least that's how I would spell it) Five for our team name. Anyone else have an opinion?
I will read Deb on Arrival - Live at Five for this week. The main character gets help (and parking tickets) from a police officer and one of the supporting characters is named Gordon (Sting).
Great Cathy! I've added you as captain for the team, and Diva-licious Five as the team name. I liked that spelling :-) Let me know if you all change your mind and I need to change it, but for now it's a go.Are you able to get online at least once every couple of days? Don't worry about doing something wrong or forgetting to do anything, this is everyone's first time so there'll be a lot of help going around, I'm sure :-) The main thing is to keep communication open, both with me and with each other and keep motivated.
I liked some of the reviews for your book by the way! It sounds like it'll be a hoot to read!
@ Juliet: I haven't heard of Catherine Coulter's FBI Thriller series, but I'm a massive fan of Romantic Suspense, so I'll have to check that series out!
@ Tam: Just had a proper read again at the blurb of your book. What is the connection between
and this week's song?
sory Carol I think I am a bit confused about the song choices. what are they again this is very new to me?
hi sory got confused and chose the wrong book woops. I am changing my book to Obernewton Obernewtyn because its more appriate. because
Hi Tam, This week's song is Roxanne, by The Police, which was released in 1978. Every week I'll be posting a new song for you all in the Now Playing thread. Possible links:
♩Author or character name Roxanne or Roxie.
♩One of the main characters is currently or used to work in the "Adult" industry.
♩Any book set in or published in the 70s.
♩One of the characters works for the Police or military or an active government agency.
*These are just some ideas to help you along with your weekly book choices. Feel free to come up with your own link (check the lyrics, that might give you some ideas?), but I will be checking to make sure it's a valid link to the song.
Does this help?
Tam wrote: "Hi lisa it sounds interesting. Just out of curiosity what book will you reading"Ah! I'm not in the game, Tam, though I wish I was. I'll just be moderating. I'm in the midst of a huge remodel of my home. **sigh**
Juliet wrote: "I am already a fan of Catherine Coulter's FBI Thriller series. Have you read them?"Yes, long ago. Haven't read the last few. I should pick them back up. I think the narrator is supposed to be good on the audios.
