Let me know how Peril at End House is! It's one of the Christie's I haven't read yet. Do you read a lot of Agatha Christie, Kattibrie?
Trevor wrote: "Let me know how Peril at End House is! It's one of the Christie's I haven't read yet. Do you read a lot of Agatha Christie, Kattibrie?"Well, I've actually read it several years ago - I remember it being really good! I'm a huge Christie fan, or at least was, and I've read almost all of her books. Now I'm in the process of rereading them since I realized I don't remember them much. But, yeah - I think you'll enjoy Peril at End House! :P

Wow.
That is an intriguing sequence of books!
I agree with Silver! I've read most of those (haven't picked up Arabian Nights yet) and totally loved them (with only one exception).
Barb wrote: "I really love hot spiced apple cider from the cider mill near my parents' home, but I'm not crazy enough to try to spell out 'hot spiced apple cider' in one month's reading LOL"So, a literally laughed out loud at this. That would be quite difficult. xD

Yup. I chose them for that very reason. I've heard so many good reviews about those books and I figured this is the best time to tick them off my list.

Lindy, you need to indicate the date you finished reading each book along with the title and author. And remember, books for our challenges have to be at least 150 pages long in order to count. I'm not sure about all the others, but I don't think any of the Mary Pope Osborne books are long enough, sorry :( In addition, you can only use each book once per challenge, unless otherwise indicated. You have a couple of duplicates on your list.

Lindy wrote: "I have finished a few"It looks like 26 individual books - did I count them up right? Also, as Barb said, it would be great if you could put the dates when you finished them.
I don't think we have a page number minimum, though. Kara? Is there a minimum? I looked around the group site, and didn't see one.
Barb,we don't have a page minimum (unless one was set up a while ago and then dropped), and while it's nice when people post dates, it's not required (I don't do it either).Barb is right about the duplicates, though. Each book can only be used once per challenge--sorry about that!
Regardless, it's a fantastically impressive list you have so far.
Soooo sorry, Kara, Lindy and everyone else -- I forgot which group I was reading in :( My sincere apologies! I need to pay closer attention to what I'm doing. *blushing and crawling back under my rock now*
Oh, Barb, don't worry about it! I thought that was what might have happened. With so many challenge groups, it's tough to keep track sometimes. I do it sometimes too. :)
Thanks for being so understanding, Kara. You are so right about all the different challenge groups, and so many of the same people belong to a lot of those groups! I promise to try to pay closer attention to where I am in the future :)
Updating: Halfway through at halftime :). (Only halfway through because I spent a week and a half reading, re-reading, re-re-reading, ... a book that didn't even fit a letter...)Progress: 5/10

Duration: October 1 - October 31
Our October 2012 Spell Challenge will feature ways you think of the month that begins with O.
For this challenge, think of things you like to do in October or that remind you of Autumn (Fall). You can even spell out Halloween or something that represents Halloween. Also if you would like, you can spell out the month of October as well.
Spell out your word/phrase using the first letter of any word in a book title (other than A, An, And, At, For, In, Is, Of, On, Or, The, To, With) for each letter in the name OR the first letter of the author's first OR last name. You may only use each book for one letter.
EXAMPLES:
Tailgate, Colorful Leaves, Orange, Yellow, Red, Leaves, Vampires, Witch, Goblins
The choice is all yours! Have fun with this one!
Challenge Rules:
- For each book you read, please indicate the title and the date you finished reading it.
- When you complete the challenge, please post your entire list as a new message so we can all give you a virtual pat on the back for your amazing reading skills and hard work! :)
Happy October!!
