Wonderful beginnning to a new urban fantasy series by Karen Marie Moning. I have read many reviews of this book in which the reviewer found the central character, Mackayla Lane, annoying. Actually, I found Mackayla's incredulous attitude to fae living among humans refreshingly believable. Too many heroes and heroines in fantasy instantly accept the unbelievable that would actually have most of us doubting our sanity.

Great book, looking forward to reading the second book in the series. Five stars.
