I'm only 15% in but yeah ... the humour is really funny, but it's not overdone. I don't think it changes the gritty tone of the book, but I think it helps makes the dark fantasy more fun. Steven Erikson did the same thing in his Malazan Series

80% done. They've just entered the House of the Maker. Probably finish tonight and then I can see I'll be straight to the next book.
