Cody's House
"Hey Cody. Have they found her yet?" Mia asked as she came up and sat down, letting her feet dangle off the edge of the porch. Cody jumped when he heard her and Mia felt a little guilty that she had startled him. "Oh, its only you Mia. No they haven't found her yet, and she's being sent here now." Now it was Mia's turn to be startled, "she's coming here?" When he nodded Mia's lip curled a little at the thought of living with the cat. She immediately squelched that thought and silently chastised herself for being cruel, it wasn't Jenna's fault she had been born the cat anymore than it was her fault for being born the rabbit.
(I rp Cody, btw)Cody tilted his head to the side. "I don't know how it's going to go, but apparently, yes" he said absently, sitting down beside her. "It'll be a little strange, that's for sure" He looked down and noticed he had dropped the paintbrush on his boots and now they had a blue stripe along them. "I...might need a new pair of shoes" he said as he started laughing.
Mia stared at Cody as if he had lost his mind, laughing about needing new shoes when the cat was coming to live with them? It wasn't the end of the world she knew but still, it didn't seem the time to be laughing. Mia shook her head and looked out at the surrounding forest. Her chest tightened and she started coughing. "Mia, you know you shouldn't be out here in the cold." Cody said, his voice full of concern. Mia smiled weakly after her fit was over and stood up, walking into the house to seek warmth.
(You can't roleplay Cody's replies. That's what I'm here for) Cody watched her go, then the smile dropped from his face as he sat on a nearby tree stump in the woods and put his head in his hands and sighed heavily. "Life's too hard" he said tiredly.
(sorry! I'm not used to this kind of rp.)Mia walked to her room and pulled on a sweatshirt, shivering against the cold. She knew she needed to take her medicine but didn't really want to, she always felt out of it whenever she took the little red pills.
Cody strode back to the house, pulling on a new shirt and jeans, and shouted up to Mia, "I'm going to the main house! Take your pills!" before setting off.
Mia made a face, she hated her pills they always made her feel loopy. She wondered why Cody was going to the main house, maybe he was going to look for Jenna. Mia sighed and downed her pills, swallowing a glass of water to make them go down faster. Mia looked a little forlornly at her homework, knowing it wouldn't get done in her medication induced fog.
Mia sniffled a little, hating that her body was so weak. She rubbed her eyes with her sleeve as she sat up in bed. Mia got out of bed and wandered the house, wondering if Cody was back yet. After concluding that he was not she settled down with a bowl of cereal and started eating.
Jasper opened the sliding door, her white hair wet from the rain a couple of towns over. She had her back pack slung over her shoulder, bright red eyes inciting. She saw Mia. "COODY!!!" she called out, smirking and taking off her wet converse.
"Um, he's not here...." Mia said, still slightly shocked that a girl had turned up out of the blue on Cody's doorstep. "He went to the main house.." She trailed off again as she stared at the wet girl.
"I was just there!" she grumbled, looking at her. "Mia! You don't remember me?" she asked, tilting her head to the side as she unloaded her backpack. Taking off the soaking jacket to show her black shirt. Black and white tattoos of ancient writings and the cursive lettering of Winter on her inner forearm. She held out a hand, smirking with her eyebrow piercing. "Jasper. Nice to reintroduce myself."
Mia still starring wide-eyed at the girl warily held out a hand and shook. She thought of the last time she had come face to face with Jasper, which had been a very long time ago. "Uh, nice...... barbell..." She said gesturing to the eyebrow piercing. Mia stood there awkwardly for a moment before speaking. "So are you going to be living with us too?"
"nah. Just a visit." she said, noticing her timidness. "sorry if you dont like it, it's just me. I need to ask Cody something, so I guess ill be on my way." she said, grabbing her jacket and slapping the thing on. She paused. "could I borrow your drier?" she asked, pulling on her wool cap. She was colorblind, a remarkable trait for a girl. It was just genetics. She looked around, throwing the blue cap and her black jacket in the drier quickly and waiting a few seconds. She grabbed the cap and put it on her now dry hair. She smirked, it covering her eyebrows as she smiled. A piercing showing itself on her lip. She waved, "see you later Mia!" she called out, pulling on her shoes with her new dried socks. Grabbing her pack and whistling.
Mia waved weakly as Jasper rushed out the door. She was confused as to what just happened and almost chalked it up to a medication induced hallucination, but she knew from the puddles in the carpet that Jasper hadn't been any kind of hallucination. Mia decided that she would call Cody's cell phone and tell him that Jasper had come looking for him, because she didn't want to forget later.
Jasper walked through the door again, smirking and leaning against the doorway. "Found him." she said, smirking and walking in. "you really don't remember me?" she asked, "we played all the time together!"
"Sorry I missed your call, Mia" Cody said, scratching his head. "We've got two new housemates! Jasper's going to be here and they've found Jenna" Just at that moment he turned, hearing a cry of outrage. Two uniformed Winter guards dragged Jen to the front door and held her there. She fought against them with frustration melting into her body. She gave one last swing and crashed into one of the men, as there was a 'poof' and a small light brown housecat hissed and flashed it's green eyes. One of the men picked her up easily as she clawed at him. "Where do you want her?" the man asked as Jen continued to fight.
Cody let a baffled stare cross his face. He didn't move. "Um...there's a spare room up the stairs , to the left" he said as the man carried Jen up there and shot a tranq dart in her neck. She went still.
Jasper looked at the cat, "I'm gonna take a shower. That okay?" she asked, she was already soaking wet. But she was shivering. She walked from her job in the city when it started raining. Her backpack was drenched, her jacket was drenched, her hair was drenched, her shoes, socks, everything was just wet. She looked at the cat, "I'm probably going to be the one to try to make friends with that aren't I?" she asked. Tossing off her shoes.
"Fine with me" Cody said, still staring up the stairs. He shook his head and turned to Jasper with a wry smile. "You can try. But she might bite you" he said.
"I'm a cow, I'll just flick her." she smirked, laughing and jumping up the stairs. She turned on the hot water, stepping into the shower and turning it on. Sitting in the cold water until it turned warm. As soon as she swt in there for ten mintes, she got out. She dug around in her bag, pulling on shorts and her normal band tee. She threw her bag in the closest room that wasn't empty. She walked back down, ruffling her wet hair. "Oh yeah, does Mia go to school?" she asked, turning her head. "first year in real high school. Glad to not be alone."
Cody shrugged. "I can't remember" he said, looking out the window and noticing a splattered blue paint pot out on the porch. "Oh-He saw the girls and stopped. "-Bum" he finished weakly, opening the door and picking up the pot. He looked in through the window and moved out in the rain slowly. Then he started to curse loudly, hoping they couldn't hear him.
Too late, Jasper already looked out. "what is it?" she asked, suddenly getting goosebumps and shutting the door. Hiding under the table with the blanket around the sides. She shivered, clutching her bare arms. (when's the cat gonna wake ?)
(Now. Cody's embarassed, so he's gonna stay out in the rain ^^) Jen opened her green eyes wide. "Where am I?" she said, her golden brown hair a mess as she slid out of the bed and braced herself against the wall. She was pale and sick-looking, which was why she couldn't fight back. "Otherwise I'd have beaten them!" she muttered to herself as she stared up at the ceiling.
Jasper jogged up the stairs, carefully opening the door. "Morning!" she said, smiling like a little kid. "Your the cat right??"
(Lst one!!)Jasper shrugged, leaning on the door. "calm it. I'm just the cow. Like you, but I turn into a cow instead of a cat. Your taking things too literal, calm down and take a breath. No ones pointing any objects or fingers, were all family here." she said, raising a pierced eyebrow. Her body decorated in the black and white tattoos, her eyebrows were black, but her hair was snowy white. Eyes p bright red, her nickname from the third grade sticking. Bright eyes... She was a little stupid for her age.
Jen bared pointed teeth, then a light went on in her head. "The cow? Have you met the dirty, theiving rat? You have reason to hate it as well. We could beat it together. You and me. You seem nice" she said, lifting herself off the ground seamlessly, showing a golden tattoo shining around her neck. She quickly looked around, grabbing a leather choker necklace from the ground and slipping it on quickly.
Jasper crossed her arms smirking, "he's my brother, I hate him too. Just kidding, I don't have any siblings.." she said, looking at the tattoo. "Welcome to the family," she said, holding out a hand. On her inner forearm stood a black word, fancy lettering that quoted Winter. "you seem nice too, if you didn't growl at everyone." she said, smirking slyly.
((Sorry, I had an overnight school thing so I couldn't post for awhile, but I'm back now ^_^))Mia squeaked in shock when Jasper and Jen turned towards her in unison. "Um, I just um..." She turned and fled, running downstairs as fast as she could without aggravating her condition.
Jen raised an eyebrow at the space where Mia had been, and shrugged nonchalantly. "I'm the cat. I have a reputation to live up to" this was accompanied with a small smirk. She shook Jasper's hand. Her fingernails were painted a gold colour that shone in the light.
"stupid repuation. It's like mine is to be a vegetarian. Which I am... But I don't sit there and eat grass all day." she said, blinking and smirking back at her. "what's with all the silver?" she asked, turning her hand over to see the fingernails.
"It's not silver, it's gold" Jen said. Then she paused and looked at Jasper's red eyes intently. "Is there something wrong with your..." she trailed off, pointing at her own emerald eyes. She blinked.
Jasper shrugged, "what about them? Grey like everyone else's. Yours are a lighter gray, not as light as Cody and them. But he just says blue." she shrugged. Looking at her eyes in the mirror, she let out a sad sigh. "yeah yeah, save the sobs. I'm colorblind because of Suzy." she said, holding her elbows.
"Suzanna made you colourblind?" Jen asked. Even that was pretty bad for Suzy dearest. She let her hand fall from her face.
She shrugged, "I don't care that much. But I get an F in art class, except for abstract." she said, thinking about it. "I did make a tree red and black before. I don't really know the difference, that's what the other girls laughed at though."
Mia felt like an idiot, they had only looked at her and she had run away like a coward. She almost went back to apologize but felt that that would be too embarrassing. She sighed and started coughing.
"A red and black tree? Sounds interesting, actually" Jen said, nonchalantly shrugging her shoulders. She looked towards the door as she heard coughing and made a face. "She must be sick"
Mia wheezed for a moment before her fit finally subsided. Her shoulders slumped and she hoped Jen and Jasper hadn't heard, they would probably treat her like some kind of contagious freak. Her breath was still a little raspy but there wasn't much she could do about that. After looking around her room for a minute she decided to call Neil.(her best friend) She picked up her phone and dialed his number, still worried that he was suspicious.
((Ok, I'm confused on where to start, so if I get this wrong please tell me. :) ))Tay slowly poked her head in the door. "Hey...?" She said in her usual strong-yet-pitchy voice.
Jasper was leaning against the doorway, "I got it." she said, looking at Jen. "I would just leave her, I would be embarrassed. I'll be back." she said, sliding down the rail and looking at the door. "Hey Tay." she said, smirking and opening the door.
Mia felt better after talking to Niel, he was always there for her. Which made her feel extra guilty about keeping her family secret from him but she didn't really have a choice. Did she? Mia slunk out of her room when she heard the front door open and close, wondering who it would be. "Hey Tay." she heard Jasper say as she stood in front of the door. "Hi." She called quietly, waving weakly and smiling a little at Tay
Jen scowled when she saw Tay and Mia as well. "I'm going out" she said abruptly, before Cody returned. She slid on a sleeveless denim jacket and stalked out the door, nearly hitting Tay on her way. She let out a frustrated sigh and turned down the street. Cody poked his head in, his eyes bright. "Tay!" he said happily, hugging her quickly before looking around. "Hey, where's Jen-oh" he said as he noticed the tornado of golden brown hair stalking down the street. He shrugged. "Do you guys want pizza? My cooking skills suck anyway"
Tay turned and gave Cody a quick hug back, smiling. "Hey Cody, Jasper." She glanced into the living room at Mia. "Mia." She grinned back. "Pizza sounds great. I'm hungry." She informed them truthfully, shrugging. Tay paused and glanced back over her shoulder at retreating Jen in mild concern.
Mia tried not to flinch when Jen stormed out of the room and slammed the door behind her. "Can we get vegetarian? " Mia asked as she followed the others into the kitchen.
Tay rubbed her nose to hide the distasteful scrunching. She didn't really care for vegetables... But she would eat it without complaint anyway. She entered the kitchen and stood by the wall, humming.
"So Tay, are you going to be staying here too?" Mia asked curiously, wondering just how many of the zodiac would he staying with Cody. It's a good thing that he had such a big house.

Cody sat on the porch, painting absently on the wall with blue paint. He sighed deeply and wondered if they'd found Jenna yet. Apparently she was getting sent to his house. He brushed his spiky hair out of his eyes vaguely, droppping the paint brush on the porch and straightening his jeans as he stood, stretching in the morning sun.
