Just picked it up on Amazon, Steve. It's a nice rainy day in Maine; No yard work, so I can read! :-)Steve wrote: "Tim wrote: "Congratulations Steve. Looking forward to reading Resurrected."Thanks, Tim. Hope it keeps you entertained.

Read it already, really liked it ... and the first question I would have is when is the next one in the series (I hope it's a series) going to be available?
I'm also a big fan of this book and Steve has kindly agreed to come by and discuss the book with us.
Sharon wrote: "Read it already, really liked it ... and the first question I would have is when is the next one in the series (I hope it's a series) going to be available?"Hi, Sharon, glad really liked Resurrected, book one in the Adam Wolf Series. I am presently writing book two. My goal is to make it available by Christmas 2012 (if all the pieces fall perfectly in place), or early 2013.

Dawn wrote: "Is it only available in print? Can I get it on BN? I can't seem to find it.. Please send me a link."Hi, Dawn, Resurrected is available on amazon only, in paperback and kindle e-book formats. Here is the link to the book page:

Hope this helps.
Steve
okay Thanks Steve...I have kindle on my mac, but maybe I will get the print version. Either way... I will get there. It is either drought or storms. When I started my second book it started so easy because I had no one to read. Now all of my favorite authors are out or coming out and being on Goodreads has given me the opportunity to find new authors like yourself that I may never have found.I will order it soon! Good luck with both books.
Through out the month I will post questions for Steve to answer, which he was happy to do. On both his book Resurrected: An Adam Wolf Thriller and what it's like to be an author. Please feel free to ask your own questions and post your own comments.
I was wondering what was your inspiration behind writing Resurrected? Tells us about your book. Steve's answer: I felt the urge to write a thriller that featured a hero who wasn’t your typical cookie cutter action figure. The literary world has plenty of young, ripped studs with a hot babe on each arm, an assault weapon in each hand. That mystery man who went rogue from the (insert 3 letter acronym for the federal agency of your choice) after being falsely accused of some sinister deed, and spends the rest of the book, or series, trying to prove his innocence while trying to save the world. “Hey,” I said to myself, “how about a guy who just hit the big six oh oh? A boomer who retires from a killer SF and black ops career and resurrects himself as a YA author – writing books targeting teen boys (talk about a challenge). And… while reluctantly celebrating his 60th birthday, finds himself Johnny on the spot when he witnesses a mob hit man double tap a crime reporter.” I wanted my hero to have a clear sense of the difference between true justice and the letter of the law, a big heart, a cynical sense of humor, a healthy sex drive, and a fear of commitment driven by the fear of putting someone he loved in harm’s way (not the fear of commitment that springs from the loins of midlife crisis and is fuelled by a lifetime supply of free Viagra). Wolf does, after all, have a bloody back story that includes numerous enemies in the footnotes. I named my hero Adam Wolf because I feel Adam is a metaphor for the intrinsic purity of man’s spirit, while Wolf represents the natural born hunter that dwells within that same man.
I haven't started reading yet Steve, but that has me hooked already. I love nonstereotypical characters...they always seem to have more personality and are so much more interesting to read about.
Lisa wrote: "I haven't started reading yet Steve, but that has me hooked already. I love nonstereotypical characters...they always seem to have more personality and are so much more interesting to read about."Glad to hear I'm not the lone wolf who feels this way about fictional characters, Lisa :-)

60 it's the new 50, have a good one.
Steve, that's ones of the reason I liked your book right from the beginning. There's a lot of us boomer's out there and I'm one of them, who likes to read about characters with a little life experience. Add a sense of humor, which Adam Wolf has some memborable quotes and so does is friends.
Eileen wrote: "Steve, that's ones of the reason I liked your book right from the beginning. And yes, we do have a lot of life experiences, and, for the most part, a good sense of humour. For a writer who is a boomer, there is a wealth of material to work with, and an audience that can relate to it. Adam Wolf is one of us. Only difference is he brings some special skill sets to the party.

How did you get interested in writing action/adventure novels?Steve wrote: I’ve long enjoyed spending time deep in the pages of action/adventure novels. I enjoy the fast pace, the quest, the guaranteed perils, the conflicts, and the rush of a story that has but one purpose: to entertain me. Not bore me with literary pit stops that do nothing but spin my tires. There is a certain comforting predictability in the formula, yet within its framework there is ample room for creativity to run wild.
Congratulations on being the September featured author, Steve.

I have always been a big fan of action/adventure movies and haven't read that many action books till I found Goodreads of a few years ago. That's why I'm thrilled to be able to talk with Steve and read his book. Because of books like Resurrected action/adventure books have turned into one of my favorite genre to read.

I had to restart my computer because I was having trouble as well.

Was Adam Wolf modeled after anyone you know?Steve wrote: Hmm. Let me see. We’re about the same age, height and weight. We share a dark sense of humor, play guitar, and studied various martial arts. We are both army brats who followed our father’s bootsteps into the army. We know our way around assault rifles, submachine guns, assorted sidearms and rolled up newspapers. We both write. Difference is, Wolf makes a hell of a lot more money at it. (You can tell he’s a fictional writer because you seldom see him hunched over a laptop hours on end trying to market his books on social media). As far as combat medals and black op assassinations go, mine come from the febrile imagination of a writer who inhales action thriller books and drinks way too much coffee.
So just what is your favorite coffee? And do you brew it yourself? And how do you find sooo much time to write? Boy oh boy, do I envy you. And so does Max.
And so do I!
And I have book, kindle and hardcopy and I will start reading tomorrow (maybe tonight if my children cooperate)

I never thought about (view spoiler)I don't want to ruin that scene for anyone who hasn't read it yet.
I tell you all, I was blown away by Steve's book. And I am so happy this book has been selected for the Big Read. So much for all the yadda-yadda about indie, wannabe, gonnabe authors. Eh? (That's a Canadian thang they say up there. Eh?) And Eileen, whaddaya gonna do when all the newspapers are online?
I need to go back for a quick re-read so my thoughts about it are more current. Read it awhile back and enjoyed it very much, it's in my 're-read' section on my Kindle and the tentative release date for the sequel in December.

I too, was blown away by Steve's book and thrilled that I can spread the word. Eh?!?
I live close to the Canadian border, I'm fluent in Canadian.
We should all start a FRIENDS OF STEVE club. Then we could pester the daylights out of him. In fact, let's just do that. YOU set it up!
Jim wrote: "So just what is your favorite coffee? And do you brew it yourself? And how do you find sooo much time to write? Boy oh boy, do I envy you. I squeeze in fiction writing in between.

Way to post the spoiler, Eileen. And here I was hoping the Sabres would win The Cup (if and when the damn season ever starts).
But seeing as you did talk about the rolled-up newspaper as a weapon, here are the CONFIDENTIAL instructions for those of you out there wondering how to turn your daily broadsheet newspaper (not tabloid format) into a mini sledgehammer.
1-) Open the entire paper flat on the ground so that there are an equal number of pages each side.
2-) Roll the paper diagonally, ensuring the roll is nice and tight.
3-) Bend the paper in half. You might need to bring your knee into play with this move.
4-) Holding the two ends, smash the fat part of the paper into something really hard (a concrete floor will do the job) until the fat part is compacted as much as can be.
5-) Tap that end "lightly" on your knee so you know how hard a regular daily newspaper really is.
6-) Take a spike and drive it into a board.
WARNING: Do not use the Saturday Edition of The New York Times. Overkill.
Legal notice: The author of this post is in no way liable if anyone injures themselves or others with their rolled up words.
Attention Jim Crocker. Do not even try this at home. Especially if your wife hasn't read the paper yet.
I just started this book and so far am really enjoying it. Yes it is definitely an action book, but the humor cracks me up...There is something on every page that makes me laugh out loud
Larry David actually stole the magazine section out of our New York Times. Per your instructions, I fixed his wagon for him. Of course he will deny this.
Lisa wrote: "I just started this book and so far am really enjoying it. Yes it is definitely an action book, but the humor cracks me up...There is something on every page that makes me laugh out loud"Happy to hear that you enjoy laughs served up with your action, Lisa.

A note of sarcasm has been detected, lol. And the Sabres have just won the Stanley Cup, since things aren't looking good for this season.
Okay...how many of you rolled up your newspapers today? I'll admit it...I did. I had to see if this really works and yes it does. Now besides using my old rolled up newspapers as logs in the winter, I also have a weapon on hand...thanks Steve!
