The first day of school was the worst to expect, there were kids missing. No one knew what happened. Some say that they were kidnapped, some say that they wanted to just skip school.
Valentina Heartling was a freshman at Natick High School. She was new in town. No one knew when she came or how she got there.

Just as the announcements went on around 8:00am, Sarah Higgins felt a chill down her spine, while she glanced around the room like that there was something mysterious going on. Teachers were taking attendance, while the students were chatting away and Emma was staring out the window feeling the warmth of the sun on her face.

“Attention everyone,” Startling Sarah right out of her shoes, “this morning seven students were reported missing. No one knows where they are, so starting this morning, the police and the firefighters, are going to start to find them. All of these high schoolers are from each grade except the seniors. Three freshmen, Jake Thomas, Olivia and Isaac Ferry, two sophomores, Matthew, and Sophia smith and two juniors, Mary James and Kerry . Remember to all grades, please remember that if you see any of them, please call either their parents, your parents, and the police.”

Just after the announcements were finished, someone walked slowly and quietly into the room. Everyone turned and stopped chatting to each other.

“Ms. Maginty, someone just came into the room.” Sarah stated while watching the new student.
“Well, now what is your name? I did not see you in the room this morning.”
“My name is Valentina Heartling.”
“Well, let me see what I can do. Let me check. Okay, yes you are in this room. Sit down, is there any seat open?”
“Yes, there is a seat next me.” Reminded Sarah.
“Well, why don’t you sit down next to Sarah.”
“Okay.”
“Hello, my name is Sarah Higgins, I noticed that you came in late. Why did you?”
“My mother was hard to wake up.” Answered Valentina.
“Don’t you have a father to take you?” questioned Sarah.
“Yes, I did, but he died.” Replied Valentine Heartling.
“Well, you can be my friend.”
“Really.”
“Where are you going to sit at lunch?”
“I don’t know yet. I have not seen the cafeteria yet.”
“You can sit with me. No one sits with me anyways.” suggested Sarah.
“Thanks.”

“Over here and what are you drinking?”
“Cranberry juice.” Lied Valentina.
“It looks like blood.”
“No, it isn’t.”
“Hey, do you know what happened to the seven high schoolers?”
“No.”

“Attention everyone, out of the seven students, two have been found. Jake Thomas and Olivia Ferry. These two have been found and they are at the hospital. These two are fine. So don’t worry about them. If any of you are friends with them, please don’t worry. So just keep on doing what you are doing and we will find the last five.”

“Do you think that they are dead or do you think that they have very severe injuries?”
“I don’t know.”

The way that valentina talks, makes me think that she knows something I don’t. Sarah thought.

“Attention everyone, the two students in the hospital are sadly dead. To commemorate these two, we will have a memorial service tomorrow August 30, 2012. From this I would like for everyone to be there to commemorate these two.”

“Isn’t that sad and that it is only the first day.”
“Yes.”
“How do you think they died?”
“I don’t know.”
“You don’t seem that concerned about those high schoolers are you?”
“What do you mean? I am concerned.”
“I think that we should hang out together.”
“Sure, but I don’t that we should. I mean, that there is a lot about me that you don’t know and that you don’t want to know.”
“Are you saying that you are dangerous and that I shouldn’t hang out with you?”
“No.”

“Attention everyone, we have found four more students. They are all now in the hospital. Same as before don’t worry. So keep the class going. Thanks.”

I know that I killed them and then brought them to somewhere no one could find them. But they found them. At least that they are dead. I am just glad that they have not found the last one yet. Thought Valentine.

“Are you okay? Because sometimes, I think that you know something that I don’t.”
“No.”
“I am guessing that it is the end of the day already. See you tomorrow, unless you want to come to my house and do our homework together.” Suggested Sarah.
“Nah, I have to go pick up my little brother. But thanks anyways.” putting on her sunglasses so that the sun doesn’t burn her eyes and kills her.


After the first day, only six have been found, but one. No one knows where the last one is except the one that I killed.

That night Sarah thought that from talking to Valentina Heartling at school, she could be a friend to Valentina. The only thing that she did not think about who she is being friends with.
At school today, there was a new student, well we are all new, but the way Valentina acts, and talks, she seems so mysterious. Sarah thought, as she was getting her homework done.


“Valentina, what is a body doing in the house? Were you killing people? I thought that we were feeding off of blood bags? Did you kill other people other than the one here? And is it about Vlad? ” Questioned Mary Heartling walking towards the basement where she keeps her coffin.
“No, it was Blad. And no, I am not still upset and worried that he was going to kill me.”
“Stop blaming everything on your little brother.” Her Mother warned her.
“Okay, fine it was me.”
“Right now, I want you to bring the body to a place that people can’t find the body.
Okay? And then I want you to go and sneak out to the hospital and get some more blood bags.”
“Alright.”
“I also want you bring your brother with you. I am going to go back to my coffin. You know that I’m getting weaker. By the way, he is here already.”
“Okay.”Answered Valentina. “At least I will get my mind off of Vlad.”
“Hi sister. Where are we going? I heard something about you killing and blood bags.”
“Stop scaring my like that. I killed some students and that I have to take the dead body out of the house. And that mom said that we were going to go to the hospital to get some more blood bags.”
“You still love him don’t you?” Sang Valentina’s annoying brother
“Yes. Now will you stop bugging me about it. Let’s go.”

Alert, Attention to everyone, in homes, on vacation, in school, there has been a stealing of blood bags at the Western Hospital last night. If anyone sees the stealer please call 411- 375- 286 - police!

“Did you hear that a hospital got robbed for blood bags? Who would want blood bags?”
“Yeah, I heard that and I don’t know.” replied Valentina. Yeah, I was the one who did it with my stupid brother Blad and that I am a vampire.
“I just thought. Also isn’t there a memorial service for Jake Thomas and Olivia Ferry?”
“Yes.”
“Hey, are you crying?”
“No.”
“Why are you crying?”
“I said that I am not crying.”

“This morning I would like to have a moment of silence for the two freshmen, Jake Thomas and Olivia Ferry.”

“Valentina, I was thinking that maybe we could hang out.”
“We can’t.”
“Why? We could go to your house. I know that you know something that I don’t. What is it?”
“I know something, but it is not what you think.”
“Hey I have an idea, we could say that we were going to spend the night at the haunted house and then maybe we could find out who is doing the killing.”
“I am sorry I can’t do that.”
“Why? You scared?”
“No, I just don’t.”
“Okay then.”

After that conversation, I am afraid that she will find out that I live there with my mom and my little brother Blad. And that she will have to make me tell her what I am. Wondered Valentina.

“Valentina you look like you are worried. Well if you decide to come, I will be waiting.”
“Valentina and Sarah are you listening?” Asked the annoyed Ms. Maginty.
“Yes.”
“What did I say?”
“You said that (4x2 + 23yb4 = 2a + - 32x2)” replied Valentina.
“Yes and did you want to say anything to the class?”
“Valentina and I are going to stay the night at the haunted house after school.”
“Oh really.”
“yes.”
“Some say that there are ghosts, and other disturbing things there.” Explained Matt.
“Thank you captain obvious.” Sarah said sarcastically.
“Well we hope that you make it out alive.”
“Thanks.”

As night grew near, the danger also grew.
Wow, this is a mansion. It doesn’t seem that very haunted. All I have to do is stay the night. On the count of three. One...Two...Three. Thought Sarah Higgins.

“Blad,”
“Yes sister.”
“My friend said that she was staying at the haunted house.”
“So?”
“This is supposed to be the haunted house that people talk about.”
“What are you going to do? You could pretend that you didn’t live here.”
“I don’t know.”
“Sister listen.” Blad paused for moment.
“I hear it. She is here. Hide. I will deal with her. And please do not do anything stupid that she will know that we live here and KEEP MOM AWAY FROM HERE. This is the only time that I will say something nice and that is thank you." seeing that her brother was grinning.

Wow this Mansion doesn’t seem that haunted.

“Valentina,I thought that you weren’t coming?”
“Oh, I decided that I should.”
“Why?”
“Since you are here,I will have to k..”
“Comfort me.”
“Yes.”
“I found a place where we could sleep. Come with me.”
The room was a blue green like the sea with a bed that had no mattress, and rotting floorboards.
“What is this?”
“This the room that we are staying in.”
“Valentina there is a huge bat behind you.”
“Where?”
“There.”
“I will get it.”

"Blad what are you doing?" Questioned Valentina.
"Stop swatting at me. Did I come up behind you. sorry. I want her blood. I need to suck the blood from her now."whined Blad.
"No."

“Now I think that we should go to bed now.”
“Okay, night Valentina.”
“Time to kill you Sarah Higgins.”
As Valentina was about to kill Sarah...
“Valentina, what are you doing?”
"Nothing. Night Sarah."
"I know that you were doing something."
“It is not what it looks like.”
“Yes it is.”
“I am sorry.”
“You have a lot to say.”
“Fine. I am the one who killed those students. And I am a vampire. Please don’t tell anyone.”
“Oh I will. I will have you burned until you are dead."
“No sarah.”
"Yes."

Around 8:00pm, the scared and frightened Sarah called the Police. Although she was Valentina's friend, she had to call the police, but Valentine thought that she could stop Sarah.
“You will burn to you are dead.”
Since the second day has gone by, there were no more killings and that the vampires went, well somewhere we don't know. And that Valentine was burned right in front of everyone at the school, and the town. Even that, she was burned right on TV. No one knows what will happen if she comes back. No one will know even when she will return. Well that is what everyone thought.

Second story:

I am going to be a senior at the Natick high school. It has been around three to four years since Valentina has been burned. I really miss her. Well, years go by.

Darkness, terror fear. A few thing that Vampires have to aquire. Along time ago, in 1651, two vampires aquired these things until one day one had less than the oother.

"Valentina, Why? Why are you more powerful than I?"
"Vlad, I am so sorry." As she wept like a waterfall and for what couldn't stop.

Valentina was so upset that she decided to leave the town of Natick. This in saying that, her only love would always try to find a way of finding her, but he did not until 1851 years later.

Secrets, secrets, and more secrets. My life is full of secrets. I am a teacher at the Natick High school. I was a freshman three years ago. Other than secrets, My life is a total drama mess.I have been in this small town before and now I am back. My name is Valentina.

High school is way different than elementary and middle school.
As I walk down the newly cleaned halls taking in that back to school smell, I realize that the heat is rising.

"Did you hear, Valentina is back."
"Wasn't she popular three years ago, and then she she got burned to death. Every one thought that they killed her."
"Yeah."

Why did I have to come back to Natick? I just hope that Vlad does not follow me here.

"Valentina, is that you?"Questioned Sarah Higgins.
"No, I am so sorry, but I have to get to class now."

"Do you thuink that Valentina is hiding something?"
"Probably."

My first class was history, or at least that is what I thought.

" Welcome to the first day of high school in your last year. We have a new student in our class. Does anyone know where she is? And if any of you saw her?" Asked Mr. Gray.
"I know that I a girl, but don't know if it was her. What is her name?" Replyed Jenny.
"Valentina. Think that is what her name is. Let me check. Yes."
"Yeah. I saw her. she said that she had to get to class, but I don't think that we see her."
"Hold on, Jenny, is Valentina back?" Questioned Sarah Higgins.
"Yes."
"That can't be right?"
"Why?" Asked Erica to Jenny to make sure that this the right information.
"Valentina was the most popular student we knew, and then she burned, but then no has seen her until this morning."

Taking in all that information, Valentina knew that she will be in a tough situation.

"What are you all talking about?"

As everyone spun around in their blue metal chairs so that they were facing the plain , dull back of the room, "And who might you been?" questioned Maddy.


"Call me V." Replyed V.

Having stunned them for a minute, Maddy took away the silence. "This can't be. Can it?"
"What?"
" You are Valentina right?"
"No I am not." Remarked Valentina.


Ms. Heartling please come to the office immediately. Thank you.

"Valentina, I am so sorry, but you are teaching music and your room is 219. The classes that you are going to teach are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So, you have time to get ready, but in the room there are the materials there already. You get all of the information?"
"Yes."
"Ok, you can get ready any time you want. You can even go home and do what ever. I don't care, as long you get everything gets done for tomorrow."
"Thanks."

"I heard that there is a new music teacher. Who do you think it is?"
"I don't kno..."
"What is it?"
"Look."
"Ok."
"Valentina?"
"Call me Ms. Heartling. I am your new music teacher. Welcome.Let us get started."

"Rebbecca, what are we going to do? We don't have any new stories."
"Yes, but there is one that we could do." As Rebbecca grinned an evil smile.

t is 6:50pm. As I walk down the street it started to get dark. Some people are scared of the dark, but I am not scared because vampires are born into the dark. While I walk home I feel a weird sensation that someone is watching me. Deep in a dark corner on the other side of the street , I hear a voice that I seemed to recognize, but did not want to listen to..

"Hello Valentina, why did you run away from me?"
"Who are you?"
"Don't you remember me?"

It’s Vlad, what does he want?

"No." As Valentina started to walk toward the gate of the mansion.
"It's me Vlad. Aren't you glad to see me?" Stepping in front of Valentina.“ you ran away from me 1000 years ago. Why?” Vlad questioned her.

"No way. Vlad, please no, leave this town.” Demanded Valentina.
“Valentina, I am not going to harm you. 1000 years ago you ran away from me.”
“Why are you here?”
“I am here because of you Valentina. I wanted to marry you. Why did you leave me alone Ms, I mean going to be Mrs. Heartling?"
"Ok, do you want to know."
"Yes."
"I left you because I thought that you wanted to hurt me."
"I didn't want to do that. After you left I knew that I wanted to marry you. I tried to follow you, until today. Will you marry me?"
"Vlad, you could've just said it then and not now. And Yes I will."

Off in the distance, about a block away, someone was there listening to every word.
“Rebecca, did you hear that?” The other member whispered to the leader.
“Yeah. He said that he wanted to marry her. Isn’t she really 18?”Rebecca whispered back.

The tension between Vlad and Valentina couldn't stop them.

"Valentina, do you love me?" Questioned Vlad.
“Vlad, that was 1000 years ago and you asked why I got stronger than you and you got weaker. AND NOW YOU WANT ME TO MARRY YOU!” Valentina screamed at him while flinging her arms around.
“That was then and this is now.” Vlad responded as he took a step back.

As Vlad said that, Valentina quickly snatched her necklace and tore the cross off. Vlad then realizes that she is turning into her old self again.
“Valentina, NO!”
“This is what you get.” As she kicked him so hard in the guts that he flew straight into the sky.

“Valentina, why do have to be so cruel to me?” As he came back down and landed on his two feet again.” Do you remember when we first met?”
“Yes,” Valentina replied so quietly that Vlad could not hear her. “I do remember.”
“Valentina, don’t cry and you should remember that I saved you and then you saved me because you loved me. Am I right?”
“Yes, would you like to come inside?”
“Of course. It looks like you are still living in the mansion.” smiling so that Valentina could remember him 1000 years ago. Grabbing Valentina’s hand, “Why did you come back home?”
Pulling her hand away, “ I ran away from you and now I am back and made sure that you weren’t in this town and start teaching.” Walking quickly with long strides to the main gate of the mansion still.
“Will you at least relive with me?” Stepping in front of her. “What happened to you? You are different.”
“Vlad...Do I have to spell it out for you I don’t want you here. And when I came here three years ago, a girl became my friend. When she did that she asked if I wanted to go stay in the haunted house and I said no, but actually I live here. I was about to kill her. Then she saw me with my fangs. So I had to tell her everything.” tears running down her face.
“Did you tell her everything, everything?” wiping the tears from Valentina’s cheeks.
“No, but that I killed some people. Once I told her, she called the police and somehow everyone. Then that got me burned. RIGHT ON TV, DO YOU HEAR ME I WAS BURNED ON TV SO THE WHOLE FREAKIN ENTIRE EARTH COULD SEE THAT I WAS A VAMPIRE AND THAT WAS WHAT I GOT. And now I am back.”
“Calm down. Now tell me, how did you come back and do you know where your brother and Mrs. Heartling is?”
“One it was Hell. And just so you know that my brother has a name and it is Blad.”
“Right, Blad. Do you know where they are?”
“No.”
"We should still go inside. I haven't seen the place in almost a thousand years." Commented Valentina's true love.


Back about a block away, Rebecca and her friend decided quietly to sneak closer to this mystery man and Valentina. As they walk inside the mansion gate. Watching Valentina and the man with her, Rebecca takes out her notebook and writes:

V and mystery man were in love

Mystery man wants to marry V

V burning and then coming back from Hell

V has fangs

“So, what are we going to do now?”
“I don’t know.”

At the Natick High School, there was nothing better than music class.

“Ms. Heartling?” Questioned Sarah Higgins.
“Yes Sarah, what is it?”
“Well, there is the halloween dance coming up and we were deciding that from all of us students here, we were going to have it at the haunted mansion. Would you like to come to the dance?”
“Sorry. Not this year. I have other things I have to do.”
“That is okay.”

“Okay I hope that you have a nice weekend.” picking up pencils and scraps of paper off of the floor.

“Hello, Valentina.” Said a handsome guy at the doorway of the music room.
“Vlad what did I say to you. Stop coming here.You are supposed to be back at home. Someone will find out.” While Valentina watched him walk towards her.
“I was just making sure that our little date is still on. And are you okay?”
“Yes, I am. Well.. it is just that...tonight is the halloween dance. The problem is that the dance is at the mans..” Before she could finish, he grabbed her, putting his lips to hers. Tight. Pulling back, “I don’t think that we should do it here.” Just outside the doorway someone, no other than Sarah herself was standing, listening and even watching them. “Sarah, what are you doing still around?”
“Well, I was wondering if you... if you changed your mind.”
“Sorry Sarah, I said that I had something else.”
“Okay.”
“Shouldn’t you be going home?”
“Yes and who is that handsome guy?” Pointing at Vlad.
“Just a friend.”
“What is his name?”
“Go home Sarah.”
“Yes, Ms. Heartling.” Walking out the front door to a car that was waiting for her.

After seeing Sarah leave,“Ms. Heartling? Shouldn’t it be Mrs. Heartling?” Flirting with Valentina.
“Not yet.”
