"Oh please you know I see just about everything that goes in in this place!!" Fern said (look at her charter profile oh btw she's only bubbly to her friends)
Wandering around, Flare came into a seemingly magical clearing. She picked a daisy and weaved it into her hair.
Flare heard something behind her. Quickly, she pulled out her sword. "Who there?" she yelled out, afraid of the possibility of there being a monster.
Flare sighed a breath of relief. "I'm sorry!" She put her sword back in it's sheath. "I was just thinking is such a beautiful place, one would never suspect a monster attack. I'm Flare, what's your name?"
"You guess?! this is the most beautifully enchanting places I've ever seen!" Flare said, her jaw dropped in a smile.Nearby, Maple sat in a wildflower field, picking the flowere and braiding them together. The birds sang and she sang notes back, her voice light and beautiful.
((Sorry, was taking a shower))"That's amazing!" Flare said. "You should design my cabin. It's quite a bore sometimes." she said with a laugh.
"Cypress?" Flare called. She walked out of the tree, but couldn't find her. After braiding the flowers together, Maple pulled out a price of wheat and used it to tie the bundle. A chipmunk came up to her and Maple fed it a nut.
"Oh!" Flare said, a little startled since she hadn't expected Cypress to be up. "Hmmm, well, it's a little hard to explain. It's interesting for sure though. You never know what's going to happen next." she said.
Flare shuddered. "How do you keep the monsters out?" she asked, scared by the notion that monsters were most likely lurking wherever they could be.
Flare nodded, and began to walk off, out of the woods, still trembling. At every snap of a twig, she slightly panicked. ((Should I have a minotaur like follow her or something and attack camp to spice things up?))
Flare tried to be aware of everything. But a Minotaur began to stalk Flare, going unnoticed, waiting to attack. In a field, not far off, Maple stood up, sensing a disturbance in the forest. She saw the Minotaur closing in, slowly. "Watch out!" Maple shrieked to the girl, right as the minotaur charged.
Flare heard a cry but was too late. The Minotaur swiped her to the side and Flare hit into a tree.
Xander, who was in the woods searching for Elm, came running once he heard the commotion, "Oh snap!" he said upon seeing the Minotaur. "Flare!" he exclaimed seeing her against the tree.
"Behind you!" Flare screamed. The Minotaur began to charge Xander from behind. Maple tried to throw sap at it, but the Minotaur payed no attention to her.
Xander whirled around. "Oh crud!" he whipped out the knife he always carried on his belt. It was many for sentimental reasons, but apparently it would be for more than that today.
The Minotaur closed in, ready to take Xander out. Flare stood up, a sharp pain at her side. She tried throwing a couple rocks at the monster but it was useless. Maple focused throwing the sap and syrup at the minotaurs feet to slow it down. It was working but the monster had already gained enough speed to do some damage to Xander.
Xander lept to the side as the Minotaur charged him, plunging his dagger into the monster's eye, but his shoulder was given a gash by the minotaurs horn. He cried out in pain as the Minotaur turned to dust.
Maple rushed up to Xander, already pulling out ambrosia and nectar. She winced at the side of blood. Flare gasped for air, some of her ribs were broken and one of her lungs collapsed.
"No, Flare needs that more than me," Xander said through gritted teeth when Maple offered him the ambrosia and nectar. "Give it to her, then I'll carry her back to camp."
"I have enough for both of you," Maple said in a quiet voice. "Take it. I swear I have some for her too." she promised.
"Fine," said Xander, slightly short of breath. He took some, and the delicious caramel ice cream flavored food and drink instantly helped the pain.
Maple ran over to Flare and handed her some. Flare graciously took it, tasting the sweetness of mangos. Her ribs cracked, healing. "Ahh!" Flare yelped out in a burst of pain. Eventually her breathing returned to almost normal. Maple jogged back to Xander, "Did you need anymore?" she asked, almost whispering.
"Just a tiny bit. I don't want to over do it," Xander said. He took some more and the bleeding stopped, the skin closing up. All that was left was a long white scar that could be seen through the rip in his shirt.
"Yeah," Flare said. "Stupid monster..." she said as she pulled a twig from her hair. "It just… came out of nowhere."
