I have it to read, I will definitely join you in reading it. I hope it's as good as the hype, because it sounds really good, I hate disappointment.
Yay! I'm so glad, Jill. And I totally agree - hype can be a blessing and a curse. A blessing when the book lives up to it, and a curse when it doesn't!
Go for it! I have to finish one I'm reading and won't be starting til Saturday, but I'll be ready to chat about it then!
I'm glad ya'll are reading this because, as far as YA goes, this one is great. However, I don't know that I'd describe the male lead as a "Dangerous Hero"! :) But, have at it, you addicts! Enjoy!
I don't think I would describe him that way either, Susan...but as I like to say, he's dangerously wonderful!!
I don't know enough to know if he's a dangerous hero or not, but since the folder isn't very active and since I'm going to be reading this now, I thought I'd open it to anyone interested.

If ya'll don't mind, I'll stalk this section to stay updated how you like the book. It really was one of my favs this year so I'm excited you're reading it!
Enjoy!
So far so good, it is an easy to read and understand book. I just have to ask a question though, do boys who have been with you since grade 10 really just dump you without a backwards care in the world??? Just seems super harsh, not thought at all?
I was a tom boy in high school, most of my friends were boys. It was the girls who were vicious.... in saying that we didn't have jocks at my school, maybe the difference lies there. My boys were all guitar playing computer gamers. Way more fun than jocks:-)
Okay finished the book and loved it!!! Available for discussing thoughts with anyone when they want.
Okay, I'm at 8% and loving it. The writing is excellent and the YA aspect that I was concerned about doesn't feel YA at all.
Back a few years ago when I first started reading again, it was Twilight that brought me back. I enjoyed that series a lot, but YA doesn't do it for me anymore. That was my only hesitation in reading this book, but now that I've started, I can't put it down!
Is it maybe because they are college students, that does make them a bit older.Twilight was my first delve into YA and i loved it, but I can't seem to read too much of it either. This book didn't leave me feeling like a YA does, I just loved it and devoured it.
It's really well written. A deeper level of emotion where needed - like the assault and her breakup flashbacks - but not so much it drags, you know.Kennedy is an ass. There's a part of me hoping he comes back around and gets sent packing, but maybe that's hoping for to much!
I have a question... I think I'm confused, but maybe not. So, Jackie was attacked after Kennedy had broken up with her and she had started missing class before the attack because of the breakup, right?Initially I was thinking the attack was why she was missing, but it was to avoid Kennedy, right?
Yes, when Kennedy broke up with her she started missing classes, then the attack happens. It does go back and forward a bit at the beginning.
Yeah, that's where I was a bit confused. Sometimes I need it spelled out, but I was pretty sure I got it right. Great story, so far.
I found while reading Easy that the title bothered me. Then I realized there are so many reasons for the title, each one a littler deeper than the one before. While you read, try to decide which character is thinking...Easy. It changes around and it adds to your read.
hi, i'm new to goodread and new to this group (waves hi all around) i actually just got done reading this book about a week ago and loved it!! i was sooo confused the first two chapters too as to the missing class and the whole rape thing. im glad i was not the only one. the book was super good i wish it was longer or another one coming out!
Vonetta, welcome to Goodreads and our wonderfully awesome group!!! I'm truly enjoying this story, more than I had hoped I would! I really wasn't sure what to expect, but I am NOT disappointed.

I'm now 53 percent through and loving it. There's nothing major happening, but this relationship building is fun!
Oh, wow. This was so, so good. Sweet but not immature, mature but not adult... great story!!!I'm in love with Lucas :)
Me too!!! I love him, totally different hero from the usual, but I think he could still be classified as dangerous. He totally took out Buck!!! He was a bad boy turned good, but still a bad boy if you know what i am saying. And yeas this was a sweet book, but not soppy and still very readable by an adult.

Yay! Dhes I'm so glad you liked it! Isn't Lucas the best!? Love when a YA book can have characters who don't act like brats. :)

A girl who believes trust can be misplaced, promises are made to be broken, and loyalty is an illusion. A boy who believes truth is relative, lies can mask unbearable pain, and guilt is eternal. Will what they find in each other validate their conclusions, or disprove them all?
When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup two months into sophomore year. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she's single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, and failing a class for the first time in her life.
Leaving a party alone, Jacqueline is assaulted by her ex's frat brother. Rescued by a stranger who seems to be in the right place at the right time, she wants nothing more than to forget the attack and that night--but her savior, Lucas, sits on the back row of her econ class, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. Her friends nominate him to be the perfect rebound.
When her attacker turns stalker, Jacqueline has a choice: crumple in defeat or learn to fight back. Lucas remains protective, but he's hiding secrets of his own. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.
