Really, this depends on who you ask, but unbiasedly speaking, he's actually been quite failure as a president. Despite this fact he will be re-elected because the presidency isn't won by records or achievements anymore. It's won by charisma.

I don't think he's been a complete failure, I mean sure he didn't live up to what he promised in his campaign in 2008, but he's been having trouble passing a lot of bills through Congress and the Supreme Court.
Sorry, the quality of the president is measured by the amount that he has accomplished. It's the ability of the individual to mend the opposing sides and pave the way to get things done. These are things we have not seen from Obama. Not one single promise from his lips has been fulfilled. This shows him to be a lame duck president.
We'll see what happens when he gets re-elected, though.

Okay...
He promised to make a public option in healthcare; it was compromised.
He promised to do away with the bush tax cuts; he extended them.
He promised to reduce our debt by 50% when it was 10 trillion... today it's at 16 trillion.
He promised to reduce unemployment; it hasn't dropped below 8% since he has taken office.
I could go on, but you get the point.

And you would rather have Mitt Romney oh come on his promises ars bullcrap we need someone who actually knows what :o do and that's Barack
LOL Oh, hell no. Romney is a human vulture.
My post has nothing to be with whether or not I like Obama, I was just stating the facts, and answering Alpeh's question.
But Romney doesn't have a chance in hell at the presidency. After his stunt during the attacks on the embassies, he just gift wrapped Obama the election.

True...and again maybe after this election and then the next obama will run in eight years cuz each president can only be in office for two runs at a time there's technically no law for running after they've taken a break just no one had ever done it
Paul's right. Obama hasn't lived up to expectations and promises, but then again the Republicans have made it nearly impossible. Anywho, if Obamaa was a plain run of the mill ham on rye sandwhich then Romney would be a piece of shit thrown between two slices of moldy bread. Yum. He's doesn't have a chance anyway.
I'm not a hugely political person, but anyway ... I like Obama. I agree that he hasn't lived up to everything he promised, but with the economy the way it is I see how difficult it must be, especially in only four years. I'm willing to give him my vote just to see if he can improve things. Not only that, but I just agree with him much more on ethical things––like gay rights, women's health, abortion, immigration laws, etc. I disagree with Romney on pretty much every important issue, so I can't vote for him. Not to mention, he used to be governor of my state (Massachusetts), and ... well, he just didn't do anything helpful at all.
