there's a lot of genres in rock, and like i said, i totally love alternative and indie. but, i think that some normal rock is ok. my dad listens to a lot of it.

not always. sometimes i'll find a metal song that i like, but that's almost never.

yeah, i like them, at least some of them- the calmer stuff's cool, like time of your life, and when september ends... but then they've got good louder songs too, like american idiot, blvd of broken dreams, homecoming, etc.... so yeah, they're worth a try...
green day has been ruined by pop culture. my aunt has a signed guitar from then that she won in a raffle.

All of those rock too. I'm tied between 30 Seconds to Mars, BB, and Shinedown.
