Graceling Academy discussion

We have two pools. (go)

Kinky stepped out to go for a swim. She felt very self-concious in her cheap swimsuit two sizes to small. It didn't help that she was on the bustier side. She autimatically crossed her arms over her chest, looking very unatural. Anyone could tell she felt uncomfortable. ((Wana RP with that someone?))

Cynthia walked to the pool, sitting on the edge she dipped her feet in.

Kinky walked around and sat down next to the rocks.

Cynthia noticed someone else there but didn't say anything.

Kinky layed down, tanning.

A few minutes later Cynthia slipped into the poll, diving under.

Kinky decided to jums in, about ten minutes of tanning. She dove in, and bumbed into someone.

Cynthia came back up the surface, glaring at the other person. "Hey!"

"Kinky blinked, and replied "geez..... I'm, I'm sorry." With that she walked away into the monster dorm thinking "I can be insecure about my body elsewhere."

Sighing Cynthia sat back on the edge of the pool. Maybe she'd been a little rude, saying the first thing that popped into her mind.

Penelope walked into the pool area, pamphlet in hand as she explored the school grounds. She saw Cynthia and saw she was a Graceling too.

Cynthia looked up, seeing another Graceling.

"I'm Penelope." she said quickly, walking forwards awkwardly.

"Cynthia." She replied quietly

"Nice to meet another Graceling. I hear only two of us are on campus, the others are monsters. So...what's your grace?"

"Sword fighting." she replied simply, looking up. "What's your's?"

"Healing. Not as fast as you might think it is though. People thought I could just fix a broken leg in seconds." she shrugged, grinning a bit.

"that's a useful grace."

"Not as cool as sword fighting though. That's the epitome of badass-ness." she giggled.

She shrugged. "I've met others graced with sword fighting. You're the first healer though."

"Thanks. Still though, does that mean you have your own sword?" her eyes were round with curiosity.

Cynthia nodded. "I have two up in my room."

"That is amazingly cool. What's the difference between them?"

"They're basically the same, I just prefer to fight with two swords."

"So I'm guessing training is also an important?"

She nodded. "I train whenever I can. A few of the graced fighters I've met rely completly on their grace, others don't"

"So do does it extend exclusively to sword fighting or do you have natural skills at other things?"

"It's just sword fighting. I've tried other things but I'm not that good at them."

"That's still pretty cool though. I hope your sword fighting teacher is badass because nothing looks awesomer."

Cynthia laughed. "You could come watch sometime if you wanted."

"Of course. Obviously, healing classes aren't as dynamic."

"Yeah, that does sound boring."

"We have to attend all the classes right? Even the ones we aren't graced in?"

She shrugged. "I've been going here for awhile and I havn't ever gone to the healing one. But I have gone to others that I'm not graced in."

"Ooh, okay. Thanks for the heads up."

"So I'm guessing you're new here?"

"Yep. Just arrived." her perky tone made it clear she was naive.

Cynthia raised an eybrow. "It's not always that much fun here. I'll warn you now."

"What? Why? Is it because of the teachers or the...erm, students?"

"A little bit of both."

"Oh..." Penelope trailed off, thinking about them "any regulars back this year?"

"A few, but there might be more, the year just started after all."

"I was hoping to run into some more eventually." she said, lacing ehr fingers and resting them on her lap.

Cynthia nodded, not saying anything.

"So..." Penelope began, thinking up of some conversational topics "what kind of music are you into?"

"Anything really." Cynthia said.

"I'm more of an indie chick." Penelope smiled, thinking over her songs and albums. "How about siblings?"
