Frostbite made her way into the Lobby, glad to have returned from her latest mission. It was nothing thrilling, just a little bit of recon work. She had almost blown her cover, again, due to her powers often revolving around her emotions. When the thin blonde entered the room, there was a significant drop in temperature. What was once a comfortable 72 degrees Fahrenheit, was now around 50 degrees. She still wore her black leather suit, the only item of clothing resistant to her frosty powers, and her hair was still pulled back in a sleek ponytail. A few young students glanced at her in awe and she flicked a glance at her, not caring much over their awe.

Gill walked into the room, his hair a little ruffled from his nap. He had left the mansion with the intention of avoiding work, but had ended up taking a nap. But then again, h pe had succesfully avoided work, so in the end it all worked out. He gave a huge yawn, and then he is usual charming smile bloomed on his lips. "Is it hot in here? Oh wait, no, that's just me." He said loudly to no one in particular. He offered a few winks to the staring younger girls, before spotting another X-Man not to far away, or rather, an X-Woman. And not too bad looking if he did say so himself. Her constant wave of cold did little to deter Gill, because even though he had a very low cold tolerance, once he had his mind set on a lady, she was his. "Heaven must be missing an angel, because here I am love." He said dramatically, offering her the same charming wink he had given the teenage girls before.
A laugh almost fell out of Alexandra's lips, but she wasn't the type to laugh. What a rediculous comment. She glanced over at him, her lips only slightly curling in the form of a smirk. She flicked a stray piece of rubble off her suit(leftovers from her mission), and crossed her arms over her chest. "Can I help you with something?" she asked flatly, raising one thin, blonde eyebrow. The man looked familiar, but so many of them around here did.

Gill raised an eyebrow, his smile ever growing. "Need something? Love, I'm the guy whho girls blush just from seeing. Feel free to faint into my arms any time." He added, holding out his arms for emphasis. He couldn't help but b amused at this girl, so pretty, yet so serious, and undoubtedly loads of fun to tease. He gave her a little wink, just to see if he could get a reaction, but then remained still as he held his arms out and his playful grin stayed spread across his face.
Alexandra blinked, and stared at him, her face remaining unmoving. After a moment, she said simply, "No I'd rather not." Perhaps it was the part of her stuck in her previous flirtationships, or perhaps she just didn't like his "type," she couldn't quite place a finger on it and didn't want to delve into her emotions any more than she must. "Who are you, anyways?" she asked, eyes flicking over at the other students, studying them as she asked her question. Most of them had gone back to their busy work. She saw a younger one whom she recognized and gave her a tiny wave of only her fingertip.s

Although Gill really was a little dissapointed, he made a mock pout and crossed his arms as if to say 'no fair'. And when she asked for his identity, it only further plunged him into dissapointment. He had thought every female n the estate would know of him. However, swallowing his dissapointment, he smiled. "Gill Tulin love. Or Wildfire. Whichever you prefer." He gave a bow, then took her hand in his, originally intending to give it a quick peck, but her freezing body temperature deterred him quickly enough. In fact, he was cold just by standing here next to her, so he automatically summoned a little fireball in the palm of his hand.
Alexandra took a stepback when he produced the ball of fire, not from fear of course, but from the necessity to avoid heat. She tended to overheat rather easily, even when she was regulating her body temperature. "Frostbite," she replied, "or Alexandra Monroe." Perhaps she knew who he was, perhaps he didnt. She had been with the X-Men for a few years now, so it wasn't uncommonnfor people to at least recall the name. And she couldn't help but smirk at thr irony ofbthe situation. A man who controlled fire and a woman who controlled ice meeting each other.

When she took a step back, Gill was momentarily confused. Surely he wasn't acting that bad? But he quickly figured it out and extinguished the flame, taking a step nearer Alexandra to make up for the distance she had put between them. "Ah, yes, Frostbite..." He quickly tried racking his brain for any sort of connection, but came up with nothing except for a vague familiarity. "Never heard of you love." He said, shrugging ass if in apology. "Now, where were you headed?" He asked, once again all charm. He took one more tiny step closer, wondering how he would ever close the gap if she was always this freezing.
"To debrief with Xavier and then take an icebath," And then go find Logan or Wade She thought after she spoke, but decided to not include these key bits of information. She exhaled softly, a small puff of her exhalation visible in the chilly aura around her. "And yourself?" She asked, simply out of courtesy. If it was one thing her absentee family had done, it was raise her with the manners of royalty, not that she used them anymore than out of habit. She didn't entirely like how Gill took another step towards her, and she compensated by taking a small half-step back, not quite moving, simply placing her left foot behind her right, and allowing her to lean slightly away.

Ice bath? God, it was like this chick wanted him to back off. But of course, Gill wouldn't accept that. His ego knew no such boundaries. And so he assumed she was playing hard to get. But then she moved her foot back, and Gill inwardly winced a little. Maybe she honestly didn't want him to hit on her? But that had never happened before... poor Gill's mind and ego were having a huge war at the currnt moment, but it seemed as if his ego was taking the most blows. Maybe he wasn't as desirable as he had believed? Did he perhaps not have every female in the entire property swooning over him? He took a fe steps back, a perplexed expression his face. He didn't get it. He was sexy, he was highly ssought after, and he was trying to get her attention. What else did he have to do to impress this woman? Maybe he wasn't handsome enough for her tastes? "Am I not sexy?"
Alexandra nearly burst out in laughter, but she held back, her face remaining calm. She shrugged, her blonde hair moving like a wave as she did. "You're not my type," she replied honestly and flatly. She had a type, and she knew what she wanted. Unfortunately for her, it seemed rather unrequited the majority of the time. "Do you just walk around here expecting all women to fall to their knees at your good looks?" a smirk lilted over her pale lips, "Because if you do, I'm sorry. That's not really how I work."

Gill bit his lip uncertainly. This wasn't going as he had planned. Maybe he should just walk away now? After all, it wasn't like he was going to achieve anything here wit this woman. But now he was intrigued by her. How could a woman not feel immensly attacted to him? She hadn't denied he was sexy, so he could assume he probably was. But then, what about him didn't please her? Admittedly, what she said about him expecting all woman to love him was true, but why shouldn't he believe that? What more could a woman possibly want? And he had met plenty of woman who did like that, so why didn't this woman work like that? Honestly, females were confusing. They were so much easier to be around when he was flirting and they were giggling. "Then what is your type?" He asked. He could probably act like her type, right? He would if he had to. Now that he couldn't have her, it seemed as if the only thing in the world worth thinking about right now was how to get her.
Alexandra chuckled, thinking to herself about the two men who held her affections. Of course, they were far dearer to her as friends, but the emotion, surprisingly, was still there for her. She shrugged, "Abrasive, sarcastic, and a little bit crazy?" she laughed lightly, finding a way to describe the two with ease. She absolutely adored the two as friends, but she had always felt a bit something more. Yet, the young woman was far too distant and cold to ever bring something of the sort up to either of them. "And they also...don't care? I guess. Is a good way to put it." Where were Logan and Wade afterall? She would have to find them and rope them into getting a beer with her. After this long day, she would need one

Gill nodded, trying to peice together her description into a script of sorts for himself. Wait, did that description ound familiar? It certainly sounded awfully specific... Did she already have a crush on someone? He bit his cheek in annoyance. If she did, then it would be unlikely if he could impress her, but... just maybe... If she hadn't made any moves with another guy yet... Wait! There was a perfectly simple way to figure this out! "Oooooh, so you like him?" Gill said, as if coming to a realization. Honestly he had no idea who she may or may not have liked, but her reaction would give him an answer, not to mention be insanely amusing.
Alexandra cocked her head slightly to the side, perplexed. "What do you mean?" She asked, pursing her pale lips. Inwardly, her heart fluttered with nerves, if only for a moment, but it happened. But the idea was preposterous. She had said nothing to give too much away about her affections, it wasn't possible he could have picked up on anything...unless he was psychic, which she doubted. But, she supposed, nothing was impossible here. It was hard for her to even define her emotions as a crush. It wasn't quite that, no, not really. More just harbored feelings and deep, dear friendship.
Keith stood in Lobby, standing off to one side where people walked by, the majority of whom failed to notice that he was there. Even when Keith wasn't using his abilities, he had a knack for going unnoticed. Keith had spent the majority of his life doing just that, going unnoticed, and it wasn't until recently that someone did notice him. While some people had difficulty activating their abilities, for Keith it had always been turning them off that had been his weakness. There, Keith felt the gaze off an onlooker latch onto him for the briefest of moments before they continued walking- confirmation of his existence. Although, Keith wondered whether existence was the more preferable option, 'to be, or not to be'? Keith would just have to wait and see.
Kira walked through the lobby, distracted, tossing a small ball up and down as she walked. As she passed through the hallway she let her mind wander. As she entered the lobby she noticed a guy standing off to the side. She had seen him around the mansion from time to time.
Once again, Keith felt the eyes of an onlooker. Keith glanced around the room until he located the source, a young woman whom Keith had observed assisting people from time to time. She was probably some sort of teacher or instructor. Keith watched her toss small ball up and down, always landing gently back in her hand. Keith was of the habit of staring.
"Hey." Kira said, as she paused in front of the guy in the hallway. She had noticed him staring and decided to stop, wanting to know why he was staring at her. She kept fiddling with the ball, this time tossing it back and forth from hand to hand.
It took Keith a brief moment to realize he was being spoken to. "Hey," Keith responded in turn, his eyes following the movement of the ball back and forth between her hands before looking her in the eyes.
She leaned against the wall next to him. "you stand out here a lot don't you?" She remembered seeing him from time to time. It was the sort of thing she didn't really remember she'd noticed until she thought about it.
"From time to time," Keith nodded, watching as she leaned against the wall next to him. "There is plenty to see if you watch." As if that was enough of a proper explanation. Keith was an expert at the art of watching people, his skills at noticing the small details were a testament to his years of practice.
Kira nodded. Stopping and noticing was really underrated to a lot of people, but not to her. She noticed things all the time, but tended to be to impatient to just sit and watch for long periods of time. "I'm Kira by the way. One of the combat teachers."
"I'm Keith," Keith offered his own name. "One of the combat teachers? They you must be good at fighting." Keith leaned back against the wall.
Kira smiled. "Yeah, you could say that." In truth, her mutation made her extremely good at fighting. She guessed Keith was a student, and they didn't look too far apart in age, but it felt kind of awkward asking him about himself. Though, if he wanted to tell her, he could.
Keith would guess that she was only his senior by a small amount, between three and five years or so. "I've had my own experience with combat." Keith commented, then looking her in the eye,"So, what can you do?"(( Still deciding some stuff about Keith, might alter small details about him as I go. ))
"I can see weaknesses in things and exploit them." She frowned at the bad description of her abilities. "Like I know exactly where to throw this," she tossed the ball she was holding into the air and caught it, "To make that chandelier fall." She nodded at the ornate chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
"Interesting." Keith looked towards the chandelier. "Is your ability to observe weaknesses only limited to the physical sense?" He asked, intrigued by her abilities and it's applications.
"I'm not sure. I've never really tried to use it to see... emotional weakness or anything." She turned to Keith. "What about you? What can you do?"
"Impressive." Kira thought for a moment. "Can you make other things intangible or unnoticeable too?" She assumed he made his clothes that way, but she was wondering about stuff he might be carrying, or other people.

Darn. Her reaction was far from satisfactory. But wait, it looked like she didn't like anybody yet! That meant Gill had a chance! Suddenly very pleased, he put on his best seductive smile. "Nothing, love. Now, perhaps you'd like to see me again later?" He asked, hopefully. He had no other plans, so why not? Besides, it looked like he wouldn't get anywhere right now, so it would probably be best if he tried again some other time. Perhaps her coldness was even just a random mood swing. Yes, and if he spoke with her later, she'd probably be eager to just catch a glimpse of him... Yes, this would work out perfectly.
"I am capable of making other objects or people intangible if I'm connected to the, depending on their size, of course." Keith answered her question,"I'm more limited with my ability to make things become unnoticeable. If I'm carrying an object, then yes. People, however, are too large. If I stood next to someone, you'd notice them without realizing they weren't alone."

Alexandra shrugged, "Perhaps, perhaps not. I've got to meet with some students I'm mentoring. Since we work for the same people, I'm sure we'll bump into each other again." It was simply her nature to be frosty, she never had quite been able to avoid it. The guy--Gill--was nice enough, but that didn't make him her type. She was sure he would be very persistent though...perhaps even the sort of persistence which could make someone jealous...A mischievous glint twinkled in her skyblue eyes.

Kira smiled. New students were always fun. "I was here for a few years of high school then stayed on as a teacher." She remembered her first year. It was amazing.
"You must have enjoyed your experience if you stayed on as a teacher." Keith commented,"This is the first school I've ever been too." Keith had private tutors when he was little, but past that he was self taught.
Kira raised an eyebrow. "That sounds like an interesting story. You must have learned somehow. Did you home school or something before coming here or what?"
The edges of Keith's lips curled up into a small smile,"I've been on my own for the majority of my life." Keith stepped away from the wall, standing up straight. "Everything I learned came from books, observation, and experience." There were many hours Keith had spent in libraries reading away anything he could get his hands on. "There was very little I places I couldn't go and things I couldn't do." Keith shrugged, with no one being able to see nor touch him, Keith had practically raised himself.
Sadly, Kira knew multiple mutants who had sort of had to raise themselves. She was one of the lucky ones. Though it hadn't been easy, at least she had her dad. "Mutants don't exactly have normal childhoods, do we?"

Gill shrugged, though it was clear he was quite pleased. Perhaps was a much more favorable answer then he had been preparing for, and he was almost ecstatic that he was already winning her favor. Or at least, thats what he believed. "Well love, until then." He gave a small bow, his smug grin unable to stay away from his face, and as he left the room, he could hardly even wait until he was out the door to give himself a pat on the back and a congratulations.
(( Sorry, in the process of doing finals and other end of years stuff... ))"Perhaps what's normal for the rest of the world simply isn't what's normal for mutants. We are, after all, quite different from the 'normal crowd,' are we not?" Keith merely suggested with a nonchalant shrug. "My childhood is what is, I hold neither affection nor grudge towards those who I referred to as my parents."
