I don't watch this show, but when I saw this story this morning on Yahoo!, I knew it belonged here.

I have VERY VERY mixed feelings about this. My blood is boiling on one hand. Freddie's voice is amazing. He is REALLY good, I love that he made the song his own rather than re-hashing Bette Midler's version. BUT... how DARE Simon Cowell basically tell him to diet or not get put through. That's what it boils down to. He has lot JUST SHORT of 400 pounds in 3 years, without surgery. Hard work, dieting, exercise. If he has done this with his own determination... what makes Cowell think Freddie will stop just because he gets to sing? GGRRRRR. But, ROCK ON FREDDIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cowell is a brat of the first order anyway. The fact that Freddie made it onto the stage in the first place is a victory for him (and the rest of us). If more people see larger people with talents,feelings and the like, we may be able to make headway with how we are seen and treated.
