The Grass is Singing is on its way from Amazon any day now, exciting! Never read any Doris Lessing but thought this sounded really good.

I haven't read The Grass is Singing but I've loved other books by Doris Lessing, hope it's good!

Read the diaries of Jane Somers.. good book and quite thought provoking at times.

What a challenge. Suggestion for A.J.P. Taylor is The Origins of The Second World War. Controversial even now and very readable .
