Yeah ... I have the modest hope of completing the Pallisers. I think that will be enough Trollope for me.
I've enjoyed the Trollope I've read (all the Barsetshire novels), and will probably read some of his others in due course, but I don't think I'd want to be a Trollope completist.
New to this forum.I am currently in the process of reading Anthony Trollope's works in chronological order, but haven't got very far yet, so far I've read
The Macdermots of Ballycloran
The Kellys and the O'Kellys
La Vendee
The Warden
The New Zealandar
Barchester Towers
and am just about to start The Three Clerks
I have most of Trollope's works (except the plays)
Recently found Ayala's Angel at a book fair, which just leaves in novels Is He Popenjoy? and the Fixed Period and in non-fiction How the Mastiffs Went to Iceland and London Tradesmen.
Patty wrote: "An author I'll be reading for the rest of my life, and have no hope of ever "completing," I hope!"Fortunately, Trollope wrote enough that completing is a very remote possibility, certainly not a probability. My first was The Way We Live Now, when I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough, and was hooked. (OK, so I was reading on my Kindle ...)
I have completed his Barsetshire Chronicles, started the Palliser (The Eustace Diamonds next - next month?).

What made you decide to read chronologically? Just curious!

I think you are the first person I've ever known to refer to Trollope as a page turner! :D

I purchased for my Kindle Complete Works of Anthony Trollope, a collection from Delphi. I don't know if it is available for other devices, but I would expect so. It has those missing titles you're seeking.
Trollope at his best ( in the Palliser novels) is definitely a page-turner. But he wrote a lot...and not of his novels are at that standard.
Patty wrote: "What made you decide to read chronologically? Just curious! "When reading all of an author's output, I like to read it in chronological order, so I can trace
the author's development (or in some cases deterioration). It's just one of my little foibles.

Does this mean you start every author with the first book they wrote?
No, I concentrate on one major project at a time, but I intersperse it with other reading.
It's only the major projects I read chronologically.
I have created a group for discussing all things Trollope - all are welcome.Exploring Anthony Trollope
I reckon the 'Trollope canon' consists of the Palliser novels, the Barsetshire novels, Orley Farm (which I'm reading at the moment and really enjoying) and The Way We Live Now. That seems like a more achievable aim for those of use who expect to die one day.
