how does this work?
You add your books to SS and share you folder with others so they can read the books that you have. If you give your email they will share back and you then can read the books they have. I have only used it for about a week and love it. I am referring all of my family and friends to SS.
Just sent some invites last weekend, and may have duplicated some, Sorry if I did. gargoyle1011@yahoo.com
My email is cassandramblack@gmail.comI'm going to add all the addresses posted here, please add me too!
Hi everyone! I invited a bunch of you to my account as well. Please invite me, too. I respond to all invites, as well! u2fan1977@att.net
And thanks in advance!
I got a nice message from melissa with a link. I am working long days today and tomorrow, but i will be uploading to sugar by friday, once i figure out how - not any time right now! but i will post, and add, and we should be able to get this party started! :-)
I keep reading these posts about the SS lending....I just don't understand really what it is? Can someone explain, please? Sorry to be a bother...
Ok...I think I'm figuring it out. So do I need to send out invites now? My email is jdshelton3@yahoo.com
I sent out some invites. Hopefully I did it all correctly! Please send an invite back, I'd be most grateful! My uploads are still a work in progress. I have many many more than what is currently listed!
Yes, I was thinking about pulling over books that look interesting to my laptop, then putting them on the Nook. I read a LOT, but sitting in front of the computer to do so isn't all that much fun. I don't ever want to mess up any one's libraries!I look up books and authors on Goodreads too, as well as Amazon and other sites. If an author looks good, I bookmark them, then watch the reviews. I have found some real boogers that way, but some really awesome reads, too!

I have updated and added quite a few more books to my SS folders. Love to send out some more invites! Invite and I'll invite back.Oh and I have a question, if I have the SS app on my phone, do folders that I've received invites to take up memory space on my phone?
SassySami wrote: "Leiah, I highly suggest you don't Sync anyone's folder to your computer, because if you delete anything from your computer, it also deletes the files from their SugarSync. Now I'm afraid to do anything but copy a book to my Nook. Obviously I want to sync my folders with my computer, but if I choose to turn off syncing with my friends folder can I delete the books I don't want? I'm using the new beta SS manager. Thx
melissa, could you email me what you sent dori and jean please? i am trying to make sure i dont mess up anyones stuff! thanks! leiah leiahc@care2.com
I saw that a lot of people use Calibre...so I downloaded it to my PC. Now, I'm not really sure why I need it or what to do with it?! Lol!Do I upload all the books I had previously had in my nook books shared folder?
I had noticed that the people that I had received invites from had their libraries organized by author. I would like to do this too with the books that I share and I thought calibre would be the best way to do it.
So I guess my question is, what is the advantage of having/using Calibre? And also is there a way to upload my entire Calibre library to sugar sync without having to upload each invisible ePub file?
Thanks!!
ok I went threw the list and sent invites to everyone else..! If I missed anyone message me and I'll send the invite! :)

I like Calire because it helps me manage my ebooks. To sync your Calibre library in SS, just add your Calibre folder from SS. The method to do that depends on which version of SS you're using. If you have trouble, just let us know and we'll walk you thru it. You should probably make it read only so no one can mess it up.
So I'm back again with another question. I have received quite a few invites to share folders and it's been spectacular! However, there is Nooooo way I could ever read all the books people have shared. Is there a way for me to go through the folders people have shared and pull out the ones that are of interest to me and then eliminate the rest without causing damage to the original owner of the folder? Thanks for all your help!
Dori wrote: "So I'm back again with another question. I have received quite a few invites to share folders and it's been spectacular! Most people probably didnt give shares folders the rights to delete or do anything other than download anyway, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
For some reason, I didn't receive an invite Jamie. I sent you one for my calibre library. Can you send one back, please? Thanks!jdshelton3@yahoo.com

So....just out of curiosity, and my own peace of mind...SS lending of ebooks is legal and everything, right? Doesn't it hurt the authors?
