Guys, I'm running behind on my buddy reads/bingo reads. I'll have to move this one next to a future bingo shelf. Hope thats alright.
This one's a re-read for me. And still edge of the seat; off with a bang and stays action-packed. And as frightening as rest of the series; not from horror or zombies, just from how very plausible everything becomes once you accept the zombie existence. And how just when you think it can't get any worse ... LOL ... love this series!Under no circumstances should anyone skip ahead to the surprise endings (nope, not a tearjerker one like Feed...but...just do not jump ahead).
Yay thanks for letting us know your thoughts Debbie, feel free to post more so we can read as we go along.I loved the first book, glad to hear the 2nd was good too.
I really don't like zombie books. And did not care for downloaded sample of this series but a lovely friend strongarmed me into reading first few chapters of Feed after so many, many recommendations on goodreads. Glad I was sucked in; sorry it was well before Blackout was published (was an agonizing wait).Still not into horror genre zombie stuff and no interest in the zombie erotica releases I've been seeing (duh...decaying body parts, flesh eating or virus stuff sexy? Can't imagine).
I LOVE zombies, movies, games, comics, everything so it was natural that I loved Feed as well. I think fiction definitely adds another dimension to the zombie arena because you can get really creative and break conventions, just like how FEed has done.I'll be ready to pick this up this month, any preferences guys?
Ok B! I picked
cos I have that buddy read on now. But let us know your thoughts and I'll let you know mine when I read :)
Chapter 13 and the references to pre-rising computer games and the way this chapter is playing out is very resident evil....
I can't play it at all! I suck!! But Bren loves it so I watch all the time. He's hanging for 6 to come out :P
Quote: 'luckily, aleric was still swearing, finishing off an elaborate phrase that started in Cantonese and switched to English as he said, almost wonderingly " - son of a chicken-f$&@ing soy farmer and diseased convention-centre security guard"
*giggle snort!!* love it!! :P
Holy crap!! Somehow this better than the first! Impossible I know but it was! The conspiracy continues..... (view spoiler)
Straight onto book 3!!!!
Ah, sad I never got around to this as I absolutely loved the first book. Currently reading the prequel novella, Countdown which talks about how the 2 viruses broke out.
