It's a boarding school located in a rural area in Japan. It houses the some of the best, and sometimes some of the worst students. It has some of the best facilities around, pool, indoor pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, pond, a gym, stables, and many other things. (If you have another facility you would like in here just add it :D) The students attend here for six years, from age 12-18. It is a co-ed boarding school, the boys and girls have separate dorms but do attend classes and activities together. If you want to be an instructor you can, or make a student character! Or both! Hope other people have fun with this one besides me! Kyra you rock for making this folder :D

Ash walked into the Great Hall of Shonungan Boarding School, or as Ash decided to call it SBS because she thought the name was far too long. She looked up at the high cathedral type ceilings, she wasn't sure if she liked it here or not. She certainly didn't like the idea of having to share a room with strange girls, she had always had a room to herself, her privacy was important to her."Sweetheart we're going to go talk to the Headmaster. You go ahead and try to find your dorm room. It's number 1. You're lucky we got here a week early, you got into one of the first dorm rooms." Her mother tried to sound sweet and cheery, Ash rolled her eyes and adjusted the messenger bag on her shoulder. The rest of her belongings were already here, they had been sent before she had even arrived. She walked up the main staircase and turned right after seeing a wooden sign reading 'Girls Dormitory' and it had an arrow pointing right.
(Picture of the boarding school, dorm room #1 for the girls side, dorm kitchen/lounge which will be the same for the boys and girls and Great Hall:
great hall))
Ash was impressed with the lounge/kitchen area of the girls dorm wing, she looked around and thought that it would nice to chill out on one of the cushions on the floor reading a book or sketching things going on during the school year. She turned down a hall off the kitchen and stopped at a door that read 'Room 1'. She pushed the door open and went inside, she hated to admit it but she was really starting to like this place. 'This school definitely doesn't hold back.' She thought to herself, letting out a low whistle as she inspected the bathroom. There was porcelain tiled floor, rows of lights above the mirror and sink, and a huge walk in shower. She was relieved that she wouldn't have to be using a community shower, she would just have to share with her roommate. She chose the bed to the right and laid her messenger bag on it. She stared up at the little loft above the bathroom and walk in closet. She already wanted to throw a bean bag up there and veg out. She wondered who her roommate would be, she hoped they got along.
Gerti knocked gently on the door that said "Room 1." She'd been a little put out that she hadn't gotten there first, but at least she could get the introductions done and over with. Gerti was gifted in several areas, most of them science-related, but social skills was not included in the package, apparently. Hopefully she'll be nice, Gerti thought fretfully as she swung the door open just enough to poke he head in. And not force me into any parties, like the last school. "Hello?" she called in, nervously.
Ash looked up from taking her sketch pad out of her bag to find a girl standing in the doorway. She smiled shyly at her and gave a little wave."Hi. I'm Ash." She walked forward and held her hand out to shake. "I hope you don't mind I put my stuff on that bed. I can switch beds though if you want that one. I'm not picky. This is my first year here, how about you?" Ash looked at the girl with a friendly face.
Gerti actually managed a small smile. At least her roommate hadn't squealed and grabbed her in a hug like her last schoolmate had. That was an awkward occasion, Gerti recalled as she came over to shake hands with her new roommate.
"Hey, I'm Gerti. Nah, I'm cool sleeping wherever... and yeah, this is my first year, too." She moved to her own bed, quickly unzipping the suitcase on it to check if it was hers. "I'm here for neuroscience courses," she explained, turning to face Ash again. "And you're here for... sketching?" she guessed, motioning shyly to Ash's sketch pad.

Ash grinned, she walked over to her almost filled sketch pad of anime characters, she handed it to Kyra. "Yeah you can flip through it if you want. I'm here for Art classes, anything to do with Art and I'll be there! My parents were getting kind of frustrated with me because I started doing street art so they stuck me here. Hmmm I'm horrible with Science, haha. Maybe we can help each other out? I'm great with English and History!" Ash was glad she had a roommate that didn't seem like the type to make her do all kinds of overly girly things. She seemed like she liked her privacy and not all the social drama, much like herself.
Gerti replied with a wide smile and a nervous laugh. "I could definitely use some help with those subjects. My drawing especially is not very... oh!"
The breath had been practically punched out of her. Ash had drawn these??? She flipped through them delicately, inhaling each one with wide eyes. "Does not look anything like that," she finally breathed, completing her sentence.

Ash peered over Gerti's shoulder, she chuckled. She was looking at a picture of a girl and a boy kissing in the rain, very detailed. "Yeah I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil. I can show you some exercises to help you get better if you want. I love to draw, can't wait to meet the instructor!" Ash sat down on her bed and watched Gerti. "Do you know when classes start? Or do you think whoever is watching over our dorms will tell us? What made you want to do neuroscience? What is that exactly?" She asked.
Gerti didn't take her eyes off the page as she replied, "Well, my classes start tomorrow. I don't know when Art does. I'd love lessons... Thanks so much!!!"
Gerti smiled to let Ash know she meant it, then flipped the page and continued staring at the next page. "Neuroscience is the study of the human brain and how it works," she explained. "I've always been fascinated with how the human body works... how anything works, really. I'm taking sub-classes in engineering, physics, anatomy, chemistry... etc, etc." Sighing in content, Gerti handed the sketch pad back to Ash. "Where'd you get your art lessons? You're amazing!!!"

Ash took the book back and hugged it to her chest. "I haven't had any lessons yet actually. That's why I'm so stoked about getting to take some lessons! I can't wait. Wow you sound really smart. You're definitely someone good to have around in case I hurt my head." Ash told her with a good natured grin. "Thanks, I want to be better than what I am right now. I'm sort of a perfectionist when it comes to my art. Maybe we should head out to the lounge? Maybe there will be more people coming in." Ash set her sketchpad back on the brown comforter that covered her bed.Prof. Cane wandered around the lobby and kitchen stocking up on things. She made sure the girls had plenty of food to snack on in the fridge and freezer, as well in the cabinets. Mostly healthy things, but there were a few bits of junk food here and there, like chunk munky icecream. She set out some magazines on the lounge table with titles like 'Art Times' 'Artnow Opinon' 'Medical Magazine' 'Bio Mechanics' Biomedical engineering' 'American Lawyer' ect. She wondered when the first girls would start showing up. School was only a week away.
Jace and Jade walked into their Dorm room, they were already set up in Room 3. Their mother Prof. Cane had come in before they had even gotten there and put all the boys things away and made sure the boys had some things that were from their home in Tuscany laid on their beds. Jace fell onto his bottom bunk lazily. Jade rolled his eyes at his twin and climbed up to the bed above him to set his backpack down. He took out his ipod and put his headphones in his ears, he blasted the music so as to tune his twin out if he tried to start a conversation with him. Jace had talked nonstop all the way here on the plane, Jade was at his whits end with his twin brother.((Jace and Jade's room, there's room for two more guys to bunk with them.
they're lounge and kitchen look the same as the girls.))
((anyone that isn't bunking with the two rooms I've already put on here can put a pic up of whatever they want their room to look like. Just number it and specify how many people can fit into that room please :D))
Leena walked into the great hall, she looked bored in her black tank top and tan shorts that reached her knees. She had both her hands on the straps of her backpack, this was her second year here and she knew where to go to get her schedule and room number. She walked into the office and smiled at Carry, the desk clerk. "Can I get my schedule?" She asked nicely. Carry nodded and looked through her pile of papers in front of her, she pulled out a couple of pages and handed them over to Leena. Leena took them, nodding her thanks and walked back out into the great hall as she looked over the papers. She was sharing a room with a girl named Lana this year, in Room 2. She had stayed in an extra house on campus during the summer, her parents wouldn't allow her to come home, so they paid extra for her to stay at the school year long. Her schedule consisted of Math, science, history, swimming, horseback riding, and art. She smiled at the packed schedule, she was glad to be busy, it meant she didn't have as big a chance getting into trouble as usual.
Prof. Landon walked into the boys dorm room, he was filling in on moderating the boys until someone else could step in. He would rather be at his own home, but for now he would have to stay in the room reserved for the professor watching over the boys. He looked around, he had been told a couple of boys had arrived that day. he went to Room 1 and opened the door, he peeked in to find Jace and Jade relaxing on their beds. Jade had headphones on and looked like he was ignoring the world, Jace was playing with a piece of gum in his mouth looked more bored than ever. Landon had already had both boys over to his house once with their mother for tea. He was pretty sure they were both enrolled in one of his history classes this year."What's up guys? Don't forget meal time is in an hour." He called out loudly to get both their attention. He watched Jace shoot up in his bed in surprise, Jace stuffed the gum back in his mouth and nodded. Jade looked over and yelled, "Okay." Landon smirked, he didn't think the kid realized how loud he was talking because of his headphones. He shrugged and pulled the door back closed. He went back into the kitchen area and checked on the supplies. There wasn't much in the cabinets, some crackers and fruit snacks. The fridge and freezer were bare, he made a note on his phone to go shopping early in the morning to get the guys some food.
(Yeah, three. ^_^)
Lana dropped her bags on the single hanging bed and smiled at Eric, her family's butler and one of her childhood friends. He placed another suitcase down, and ten a carefully wrapped and packed box of various intstruments. Then he carefully dropped the keyboard down next to the bed, placing its stand next to it. Lana surveyed the room before sighing and raising her eyebrows at Eric. He opened his arms saying "Come here, you." She hugged him back. "Have fun here. Third year already, huh?" Lana nodded and shrugged. "Text me if you need anything!" Eric called, walking out. Lana sighed, her facing dropping. She was actually alone now. She set up the keyboard, closed her eyes and started playing.

Leena walked up the main staircase and walked into the wing that held the girls dormitory. She saw Prof. Terri and gave her a wave in greeting, then made her way down the hall to Room 2. Last year she had been in Room 4, so she was curious to see how Room 2 was set up. Right before she got to the room an older gentleman was coming out of what looked like Room 2, she raised an eyebrow but didn't comment. She opened the door and walked in, she stopped short when a beautiful sound reached her ears upon entering. A girl was sitting in the room playing a keyboard, Leena assumed the girl was Lana. She dropped her bag next to the other bed across from where it looked like Lana had set her things. She would have Terri's sons bring up her trunk in a few minutes, it was still downstairs in the great hall. She knew their mom would make them get it for her, Prof. Terri liked Leena."Hello." Leena called out to the girl she thought was Lana. "Hey, I'm your bunkmate Leena." She said in her normal voice, trying to be friendly.
Lana heard the girl walk in, but she was hoping that she wouldn't introduce herself. Introductions were always so awkward. But she did. Lana grimaced before swiveling around on the stool and waving with a slight smile. Her fingers flew through the air to test if the girl knew sign language. She let one hand drop as she reached for her phone on her bed, as to type her a note to explain if she didn't know sign language like most.
Leena raised a brow as the girl started making strange gestures, she thought maybe she was signing. Leena bit her bottom lip, she knew a few things in sign language but not a lot. She knew Eat, Thank you, More, Bye, Done, Love, and that was about it. She wished she had paid more attention to her neighbors kids, they had been deaf. "Umm so I'm assuming you're not deaf, because you heard me talk. I'm guessing you're mute?" Leena asked politely. She watched the girl typing something into her phone, she patiently waited.
Lana glanced up quickly and nodded at the girl before finishing the note.
Hi. My name is Lana, and yes, I'm mute. Before you ask, yes I've been mute since I was born. I'm from Genovia. What about you?
Lana looked up and handed her iPhone to the Leena.

Lana looked up and handed her iPhone to the Leena.
Leena took the iPhone and read the message that Lana had typed. "Oh, wow that's cool. I've always wanted to visit Genovia. I'm from Savannah, Georgia, nice to meet you Lana. I know a couple of things in sign language but not a lot. I'm a fast learner though! If you are willing to teach me that is? Or we can pass notes, whichever's easiest. Maybe they have sign language as a class, I'll look into it." Leena handed the phone back and sat on her bed, she looked up as their door opened.Prof. Terri stood in the doorway. "Just wanted to let you girls know, Mess Hall in 45 minutes if you're hungry." Prof. Terri gave them both a wave and left the room, letting the girls return to what they were doing.
Lana waved absently at the teacher. She and Professor Terri were familiar with each other after three years, and the teacher knew her quiet personality.
She looked back at Leena and smiled. Leena was perhaps the nicest person she had met in years.
Lana typed another message.
Trust me, Genovia isn't that great. Well, no. The land is gorgeous. I suppose it's my house that makes it unpleasant.
This sign's my favorite. It's 'music'.
Lana passed the phone to Leena and waited until she was done reading the note to slowly make the symbol.

Leena read the newest message on Lana's iPhone. She smiled when she mentioned music. She looked up to watch her make the sign music, she handed Lana her phone back and tried to make the sign back. She didn't do it as well so she practiced it a couple of times, she grinned when she got it down, she tapped her mouth twice with her open palm to sign thank you to Lana. Then she took out her own iPhone covered in a case that was red and had a G on the back symbolizing her favorite college football team, the Georgia Bulldogs. (yes that's my favorite team in real life lol) "Here's my number, so you can text me." She rambled off a number to Lana to put into her phone. "Once you have it programmed in if you'll text me I'll add you to my contacts." She said as she looked around their room, she really liked it. It was definitely unique.
Lana smiled and added the contact before texting Leena.
It's a nice room, huh? I had a nautical one last year...Think it was #6. But anyway, is this your first year?

"Um second, last year I got into a bit of trouble though so I wasn't around much. I live on campus all the time, there's an extra house on campus, during the holidays and summers I stay there. My parents aren't much for homecomings." Leena shrugged like it wasn't a big deal and kept her eyes trained on the floor.
Lana shrugged,her face sympathetic.
Neither are mine. At all. But the son of my mum's lady's maid is my age and we're good friends.
What trouble?
Lana looked up, curious.

Leena bit her bottom lip as she considered her words carefully. "Well did you hear about the skunks appearing in professors rooms? Or the porcupine incident with the headmaster? How about the horse in the cafeteria? Those were all me. I went through a lot of community service for the school, and some counseling. No worries, this year I'm going to be on my best behaviour. So this guy your friends with, is he cute?" She asked curiously.
Lana laughed, but of course no sound came out, and she quickly covered her mouth.
I dunno...Kinda....Kinda a lot now that I think about it. But he and I could never date. I've known him too long. And his mum can't afford to send him here just so you can date him...Who knows what attractive boys we'll find here, too!
Lana giggled again, grinning

Leena watched Lana silently laugh and found herself grinning back, she liked the way she looked when she laughed, it made her whole being light up. "Too bad about your cute friend. I'm sure we'll find some cute guys around here though. Oh. My. Gosh. have you seen the new history Prof.? Landon? He's pretty young and not bad looking either." Leena giggled as she talked about Prof. Landon.
Gerti was a little bored. Ash had slipped out to get some practice on her art, and even though she'd probably be coming back soon, Gerti wasn't sure how much longer she wanted to wait. With a shock, she realized she was actually longing for human company. A definite first, she thought in amazement as she slipped through the door and into the hallway. I should definitely celebrate. Maybe some of the other girls have moved in?
And so she went in search of other girls.
And so she went in search of other girls.
Ash was in the lounge talking to Prof. Terri about what their schedule would be like for the week before school. "You girls will get the chance to socialize, maybe check out some of the classrooms you will be going to. The school will host a few events this week as well before school actually begins. Just to make things interesting as you start school." Ash nodded as she listened. "Okay, sounds like a plan. Thanks Professor." Ash called over her shoulder as she went into the kitchen to get a glass of water, her throat felt kind of dry.
Leena decided to go scope out the dorm area a little more. She waved by to Lana and slipped out of her room. As she entered the hall she bumped into another girl she hadn't met yet. "My bad, sorry didn't see you there." Leena told the girl lifting a hand in a small wave in greeting. She swept a strand of blonde hair behind her ear as she waited for the other girl to talk.
Jace hit the bottom of his brothers bunk to get his attention. Then climbed out of his bed to look up on the top bunk to see if Jade had taken his headphones out, which of course he hadn't. Jace rolled his eyes and poked his twin in his ribs. Jade scooted over and removed one headphone, he glared down at Jace with annoyance written all over his face. "C'mon lets go ahead and see what they got to eat down at the Mess Hall." Jace told Jade in a bored tone. Jace took his headphones off and dropped down to walk beside Jace.
Lana silently giggled again, wiggling her eyebrows.
Student/teacher forbidden romance, huh? You know...I could maybe see it. Hey, we should see if there's food in the mess hall yet.

Leena nodded, she slipped her phone into her pocket and followed Lana out of the dormitory towards the Great Hall. She noticed a few other students were grouping up and headed the same direction as them.
Lana trailed along to the hall, observing the surroundings and people. She paused to pick a flower that was practically singing to her and slip it into her pocket. She poked Leena in the arm to get her attention before gesturing to Leena's mouth, then herself, and then Leena.
Tell me about you as we walk.
Tell me about you as we walk.
Leena grinned at Lana and thought about what she should tell her first. She tapped her forefinger against her chin, looking deep in thought."Well I got in a lot of trouble back home, partying, hanging out with the wrong crowds. I acted out a lot, which is what got me landed here permanently until I'm 18. My parents aren't really into being in my life, that's okay though I'm used to it. I don't really have any true friends. Just people I got wasted with, and pulled pranks with. I love, love, love animals! I'd like to go to school to become a veterinarian. My parents think I should become a lawyer though. I think they'll cut me off of my fund they have set up for me if I don't go along the college route they have planned for me. I'm still debating on if it's worth blowing them off or not. Thats a bit about me." Leena finished, she gave Lana an apologetic smile. She knew her life wasn't that exciting to hear about, mostly just stupid stuff in her opinion.
Jace and Jade walked into the Mess Hall, they were both a little surprised by the number of students that were already there. There were a good 15-20 students in line getting food, Professors stood around in small groups gesturing toward the students and keeping their voices low. Jace spotted his mom Prof. Terri and walked to her before getting in line with Jade. He gave his mom a half hug and let her kiss his head before he joined Jade in line. Jade rolled his eyes blatantly at Jace the momma's boy. Jace shrugged and gave Jade a 'Your just mad you didn't do it first' grin. Jade really wanted to punch his twin in the face sometimes, he took pride in the amount of restraint he had.
Lana raised an eyebrow and pulled out her phone when they joined the line behind two boys.
It doesn't seem like you really care what they think? And I'll be your friend now.She smiled hesitantly.
It doesn't seem like you really care what they think? And I'll be your friend now.She smiled hesitantly.
"Yeah I don't really. They don't seem to care a thing about me so why should I care about them? I mean they're my parents and I love them but that doesn't mean I have to care about what they think. Thanks, it'd be nice to have a true friend." Leena gave Lana a slanted grin. She peeked around the line to see what was awaiting them to eat. It looked like steak, potatoes, and salads, Leena leaned back in next to Lana. "Looks like they're going all out for the first night, they have steak, potatoes and salad up ahead. Makes my mouth water just looking at it." Leena told Lana, her stomach rumbled as if agreeing. Leena put her hand to her tummy in embarrassment. "Oops." She whispered smiling.Jade recognized the voice behind him, he turned and noticed Leena behind him and Jace. He nudged his twin and they both turned to stare at Lana and Leena. Jace recognized both girls, he had seen Lana around with his mom a few times.
"Hey Leena." Jade said, giving Leena a grin. Jace poked Lana in the arm to get her attention, he signed to her hi, and how are you. He had asked his mom to put him in sign language classes over the summer to count towards his second language. He didn't know everything yet, but he knew enough to get by.
Lana grinned and shrugged.
It's better here than at home. You're...You're Jace, right? Lana signed, hoping she got it right.
It's better here than at home. You're...You're Jace, right? Lana signed, hoping she got it right.
Jace grinned and nodded toward Lana. Yeah I know what ya mean. It's nice to be back. He signed back. Jade noticed that Jace was signing with the girl he didn't know yet, he didn't even know his brother knew sign language. He raised a brow at his twin in surprise, Leena got his attention again quickly."Hey Jade, what's up? You guys take my trunk up to my room?" She asked giving him a flirty smile. Jade looked at Leena in confusion. "I didn't know we were supposed to." He replied. Leena pouted slightly, "Your mom was supposed to text you." She told him, she glance toward the phone that Jade was now pulling out of his pocket, she noticed his cheeks had turned slightly pink. "Uh yeah she did. Sorry I had my headphones on earlier so I didn't see it till now. I'll lug it up the stairs after dinner, no worries. Who's your friend?" He nodded toward Lana. Leena smiled and was about to introduce him when Jace interrupted her.
"This is Lana. Lana this is my twin brother Jade. He can be a bit annoying at times, but he's totally worth putting up with. He's got smarts." Jace tapped his temple when mentioned 'smarts.'
Lana giggled, but suddenly turned bright red. She hated the fact she couldn't laugh. She pressed her left hand over her mouth and waved.
Is Leena always weird like that with you two? Lana signed quickly to Jace with her left hand.
Is Leena always weird like that with you two? Lana signed quickly to Jace with her left hand.
Jace grinned wider as he noticed Lana's cheeks color, he thought it was because she liked him. Yeah usually. My mom kind of took her under her wing over the summer. She visited her here a few times. We came with, got to know her a bit. She's definitely a good person to have on your side though, if someone messes with you she will have your back no matter the consequences. She stood up for Jade last month when a football player was pushing him around. He signed back quickly, he didn't want Leena to pick up that they were talking about her. Jade waved at Lana, then looked back at Leena. "So, taking any good classes this year? I have 1st period with the new history teacher." Jade looked between the two girls, he could tell Lana wasn't deaf because she turned and listened every time one of them spoke.
"Yeah I have it first period as well, Prof. Landon. He's supposed to be an 'interesting' teacher." Leena emphasized the word interesting and glanced at Lana knowingly. They had been discussing him earlier in the day. Jade raised a brow at Leena, wondering what he was missing from the conversation. "What about you Lana? Do you have him first period as well?" He asked curiously. "I know Jace doesn't, he's a year behind us. He may have some other classes with us, but not the core ones." Jace's face colored at his brother mentioning that. "If I remember correctly YOU skipped a year. Sorry that I can't keep up." He mumbled with a little bit of hurt in his voice.
Lana nodded as Jace signed before turning to Leena at the mention of the history teacher. Her lips curled up, and she nodded towards Jade.
I think I have that class, too. And I hope I do have classes with you.
Lana signed to Jace, smiling.
I think I have that class, too. And I hope I do have classes with you.
Lana signed to Jace, smiling.
Thanks. Are you taking Music History? I'm taking that 2nd period. Jace signed back, he gave Lana a boyish grin. Jade ignored his brother and Lana, he seemed only to have eyes for Leena. Leena wasn't really paying attention though as the line moved forward, her stomach was doing all the thinking for her. They were approaching the spot where you picked what you wanted to eat and drink.
