Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Here's the topic for us. :'3

I already have the aunt in mind...sort of.

I was thinking as far as story goes, where we will start the rp, unless you disagree, is your boy will finally tell the aunt what is happening to him, what the father has been doing to him, because he doesn't want to go through it anymore, it hurts, and the father is doing it more and more---sexually abusing him, and he's desperate now for it to end, so he tells her, even though they're not necessarily close.

Is that a good starting point?

-----We have other things to discuss though first but, I wanted to see if that starting point was okay

message 2: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Yeah that's good :) lets start!

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Name: Samuel (Sam) Jacobs

Age: 14

Species: Human

Personality: Sam is a very talkative boy who loves to be around people. Or...that's how it was until his mom died in a terrible car accident. Now he's quiet and keeps to himself.

Appearance: Crew cut blonde hair and ice blue eyes that a filled with the sadness and pain his life has brought. He's rather short for his age, but he's very muscular.

History: Not much else to tell..

Fun facts: Sam loves to play football and baseball and he loves children.

message 5: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Somehow muscular even though he suffers abuse?
Usually, abuse victims tend to not be muscular until after the abuse stops but ok it apparently doesn't effect him emotionally as it does most people so that makes him interesting I guess. :'3

message 6: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Oh....whoops haha I guess he's not exactly muscular

message 7: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments LOL I was just saying.

I need to think of who my character is.

message 10: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Oh, right. I remember what I'm doing. What season do you want it to be? Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter?

Name: Grace Shade

Age: 25

Appearance: Grace has long black hair she usually tends to keep down, despite her job, and is an average sized woman in height, about 5'3 with curves, and a C cup. She has a rather pretty face when she wears make-up, otherwise she's sort of plain.

Personality/about: Grace has never been the emotional type. It takes a lot for her to cry. Its a very rare occurrence for her. To go along with her lack of heart-felt emotions, she hasn't ever truly bonded with anyone, and hasn't ever wanted to, or felt the need to. Being alone is fine with her, and she enjoys quiet solitude. This makes her hesitant around children, because children tend to be loud and hyper, something she doesn't know how to deal with. She doesn't tend to watch horror movies either, and isn't the type to comfort friends, unless you want a dose of harsh reality that does nothing to give you comfort. Despite all of this, she does have a decent heart of hearts. She understands what is right and wrong, and will do what's best, even if she's not comfortable with it.

Relation to Sam: Aunt from his mothers side.

So, I think that about covers it. I for some reason thought we were doing a different RP which made me take so long but then I remembered we're doing the RP where the boy was raped by his father for however many years and the aunt finally finds out and takes him in and tries to raise him right.

message 11: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Yeah and the season doesn't matter! Lets start. You can go first :)

message 12: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments It was a cool winter morning, with a light snow fall, gently floating to the ground, mixed with odd bits of rain. A young woman parked her silver Toyota outside of a run down looking house. It wasn't the best looking one on the block, for sure. She had long black hair, currently falling at her mid back, and green eyes. She had a thin body and was wearing a small but thick blue furry coat, with grey slacks and brown shoes.

Her name was Grace, and she got out of the car and locked it, and went up to the door and knocked on it. She had tried calling before hand, but no one answered, so she was pretty sure that meant that the adult, Mason was asleep, leaving only Sam to answer the door.

( You can just have Sam answer the door or something? )

message 13: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Sam drags himself up from the coach. He'd had an awful night and he could still feel the burn of tears in his eyes. "What?" He opens the door.

message 14: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace looked at Sam and looked him over, scrutinizing him, and his condition.

"Good morning, Sam...are you alright?" Grace asked tentatively.

It was common for her to ask this when she came around, but usually, it didn't hold any major concern in her voice. It did today, though, as Grace furrowed her eyebrows together in thought.

It held curious concern this time, for the first time. It was odd for her, but it was there now.

message 15: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Sam swallows. His throat burns. "I'm fine." It comes out in a squeak. There was no way he would ever be able to talk to anyone about what was happening to him. How could he?

message 16: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace searched Sam's eyes for a moment, not believing him for a second.

"Sam...may I come in? I called your father the other day, but apparently, he forgot I was visiting today." Grace said, not wanting to call him out on the obvious lie.

message 17: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Sam bites his lip and glances over his shoulder. He could still hear the faint sound of his Father's snores coming from down the hall. After a second, Sam opens the door wider and steps back, allowing space for her to enter.

message 18: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace walked inside without hesitation.

"Do you know what today is?" Grace asked, and looked at Sam. She hoped she got the date right...

message 19: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) "Nope." Sam plops down on the couch and winces. He tries to play it off like he'd sat on something but, in truth, he was painfully sore.

message 20: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments "Hm." Grace walked over to him and sat down.

"If I'm correct, its your birthday today?" Grace said, more of a hesitant question then a confident answer.

She would deal with the obvious state he was in in a minute.

message 21: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Tears spring into Sam's eyes. He hasn't celebrated one birthday since his mom died. "Yes. It is."

message 22: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace reached into her large purse and pulled out a box, wrapped in colorful, bright paper and handed it to Sam.

"Here. Open that." Grace instructed, and wondered why his eyes were filling with tears.

She knew something was going on here, though, and she was going to find out what, but she had to ease into it slowly.

Grace knew if she asked Sam what was going on directly, he might not answer, so she had to ease into it slowly, and carefully, first by getting him to like her a little.

message 23: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) "What is this?" Sam looks the box over. Suddenly he hears creaking floorboards and knows his dad is awake. His face flushes and his eyes grow wide with fear. Sam shoves the present behind one of the pillows on the couch.

"Sam who the hell have you been talking to?" ((Mason? Was that his name?)) walks into the living room and stops short when he sees his sister in law.

message 24: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments ( Yes. )

"A present." Grace replied, knowing Sam would like it, if for no other reason then his mother had once held it.

The creaking of the floorboards made Grace look up.

"Hello, Mason. Did you forget I was visiting today?" Grace asked, then stood up.

"I was just talking to Sam. I hope that's alright?" Grace asked, and looked to Sam's flushed, pale face.

Grace knew that to be a good parent, one had to instill some fear in their child, but the fear Sam had, that was too much.

message 25: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Sam keeps his eyes trained on the floor.

"No." Mason pops open a beer and slams the refrigerator door. "When were you going to let me know your Aunt was visiting Sam?" Mason narrows his eyes towards his son before taking a large swig of his drink.

message 26: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace looked between the two, from one to the other and then back at Mason.

"I didn't want him to wake you." Grace said firmly. "Its not his fault." She observed Mason's tone and the face that he was drinking.

Alcohol never boded well with depression that she figured both of them had.

"Anyways, I came by because its his birthday. Are you doing anything to celebrate it?" Grace asked, trying to steer the conversation elsewhere.

message 27: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) "Nope." Mason belches loudly and heads back down the hall to his room.

Sam hurries off the couch and throws away the broken bottle his dad had dropped on the way out of the room. He grabs a dirty rag from the kitchen counter and mops up the spilled beer.

message 28: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace watched Mason leave and how quickly Sam ran to clean the area up.

"Sam, does he ever...hit you and leave a bruise?" Grace asked carefully.

message 29: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Sam ignores the question and continues to clean up the mess, wincing slightly as he cuts his finger with a piece of glass.

message 30: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace looked around and walked into the kitchen and grabbed a paper towel, crumpled it up, and got it wet with warm water, and moved over to Sam and knelt in front of him and grabbed his hand and gently dabbed Sam's injured finger with the wet paper towel, wiping the blood up.

"Are you alright, Sam? I can help you, you know." Grace said softly.

message 31: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Sam jerks away. He hated when people touch him. "I'm fine." He tries to make his voice sound powerful but it comes out weak and scared.

message 32: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace stood up and went over to the couch and grabbed the present and then moved back over to Sam and handed it to him.

"Open it, huh? You might like it."

message 33: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) "Thanks..." He doesn't take the present. Instead he walks out the front door and plops down on the swing. "But I'm okay."

message 34: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace wondered if maybe she was just paranoid for the boy. Maybe he wasn't being abused at all? But what kid didn't like presents. Maybe she should visit more.

Grace followed Sam after a moment and stood next to him. "Not interested in presents? Back in my day, that's all children cared about. If that's not, "in," what is?" She asked, figuring times had changed.

message 35: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Sam shrugs and the motion causes his the wince.

message 36: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments "Well...if you don't want it, that's fine. I'll keep it." Grace said and opened it, pulling out a medium sized raccoon plush and showed it to him.

"Your mother bought this shortly before she died, and gave it to me, but I thought you might find more use for it." The fact that Colleen had touched the toy made Grace think Sam might take interest in it.

message 37: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Sam jerks away like the thing was a bomb. He hasn't even heard talk of his mom for years and the mere mention was enough to make him start bawling.

He bites his lip. "No thanks." His voice cracks slightly and he drops his head to the ground.

message 38: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace blinked, and pulled the toy back. This was why she never tried to interact with children. They always cried, even when she was trying her best to make them not cry. Grace sighed. There wasn't anything she could do here. It seemed like her instincts had been wrong. There was nothing bad going on here, just a father who apparently distilled a little more fear into his son then most, that had him clean instantly.

"I'm sorry...I'll take it away. I see you're doing alright here." Grace said. It seemed pointless to have came here today, and more pointless for her to have visited all those times before, when they seemed to be doing fine on their own.

message 39: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) "Wait." Sam senses she's about to leave. He stands up from the swing and lifts his shirt over his head revealing large black and blue bruises. "You have to help me please. I...I can't..." He trails off. His eyes fill with tears again and he starts sobbing.

message 40: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace paused, and looked back at him. She wondered why he would be taking his shirt off. The bruises surprised her, and she didn't know what to say to them. She was confused by his behavior. First, he doesn't want help. He rejects every move she makes. Then when she starts to leave, then he wants help? Grace shook her head as it started to hurt.

She decided she would never understand children. Grace looked at him, and stepped towards him but stopped. What was she supposed to do? She wasn't good at this. She assumed a hug...but she wasn't the hugging type. What was it people did? Wrap their arms around people?

"What happened?" Grace asked, and slowly hugged him, a little awkwardly.

message 41: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) "Ever s-since m-mom died, d-dad abuses m-me." Sam's voice shakes and quivers and he almost isn't able to finish. "H-he drinks a-a lot and t-then he...he..." His voice breaks off as he remembers the terrible pain he'd endured in his lifetime.

message 42: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace listened to him, and nodded, the cold wind brushing against her face. "That's all I needed to know. I can take you away from it." Grace said.

message 43: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Sam looks up. Hope fills his eyes for less than a second before it disappears. "If he finds out I'm as good as dead." He whispers, glancing over his shoulder. It was a nervous habit he'd picked up and it surprisingly came in handy from time to time.

message 44: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments "Oh, you just let me handle things." Grace said and guided Sam to her car. "Get in. We're going to visit a few places." Grace explained.

message 45: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) "I need my stuff." Sam hops out of the car and runs into the house, ignoring Grace's calls behind him. He couldn't just leave the only home he'd ever known. It was wrong. It seemed impossible.

message 46: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace sighed and slammed the door shut. "Sam..." Grace sighed and walked after him, knowing this wasn't going to bode well. She knew she should have mentioned that he could have grabbed his stuff at a later time.

message 47: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Sam hurries down the hall and runs smack into his dad.

Mason looks up and scowls, not hesitating to backhand Sam right in the jaw.

Sam falls to his knees in pain. His jaw was cracked; he'd heard the crack.

message 48: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace walked into the house in time to see Sam run into Mason and get back handed for it.

"What did you do that for?" Grace asked, walking over and picked Sam up to his feet.

"It was an accident, I saw." Grace said. "That was uncalled for."

message 49: by Meghan Radigan (new)

Meghan Radigan (meradigan97) Mason pushes Grace aside and continues on his way into the kitchen.

Sam holds his jaw with a shaky hand. It was throbbing painfully.

message 50: by Cheree (new)

Cheree (kumikoko) | 115 comments Grace knelt down by Sam. "Sam, lets just go. I'll come back later and grab your stuff for you, but we should leave before that happens again." Grace said gently, trying to coax him to just get out of the house for now.
